NEVER order from this restaurant. Their leadership is terrible; they don't keep their word of follow through, and their on-line ordering platform is deceptive.
I went online and ordered for delivery from this store in March of 2023. Easy to do, and the platform even sent updatesā¦(order received, order cooking, etc.) Suddenly, the updates stop. I was puzzled because I didn't get āOut for deliveryā even though my delivery time is approaching. Five minutes overdue. Ten. Fifteen. I see my vm on my phone, and someone has called and said āthe regular delivery person didnāt report,ā so they can cancel the order or I have to come pick it up. I call them to tell them Iāll get it, and thatās when they tell me that a Door Dasher got my food and, according to them, delivered it.
Iām confused, as Iāll explain in a second, but I look outside my door. Nothing. I tell them this, and I ask them to just prepare the same food, and Iāll come get it. But they tell me that Iāll have to pay for it again because this Dasher picked up the food.
Note this. I didnāt order through Door Dash, and at no point does anything on the platform or any of the emails or texts reference that Door Dash is, in any way, connected to this transaction. I honestly assumed that THEY must have subcontracted with Door Dash since ātheir regular person didnāt show up.ā In any event, Iām out this money, my family hasnāt had dinner, and now they say they FIRST have to get a refund from Door Dash ā WHO I DIDNāT CONTRACT WITH ā before theyāll refund me or let me pick up the food I ordered.
This could have been SO easy. Instead, I had to go through like seven conversations with them, and four emails. Iām told two were sent to ācorporateā because I said itās misleading to employ a third-party delivery service without ever telling the customer, and in addition, that they should be responsible for third-party screw-ups, not customers. I also suggest that, because they wasted so much of my time, they should offer a gift card equal to the value of my order (like $50).
NO reply from corporate as I sit here.
When I didn't get a refund a MONTH later, the owner/manager said it was processed the day I called, and I was asked to wait another week. Right, because you know how it takes over a month to process a refund? No, we know what happened because the refund popped like three days later.
So the owner/manager apologizes and in an email asks for my address so they can send a $25 gift card. (Recall I asked for $50, which was my original purchase, and it seemed fair given all the work I had to do). As of today's date, STILL NO GIFT CARD, and I emailed TWICE to tell owner/manager I hadn't received it.
Whatās particularly sad is that I told them that if theyād get my refund and honor the gift card request, I wouldnāt even comment on this. Iād let them work through and fix obvious problems without them losing other customers. I mean, donāt we all just fundamentally want to feel like weāre respected as customers? Instead, they did nothing, so I donāt feel bad writing this because it absolutely speaks to how they treat customers.
If you are adamant about soliciting them, go IN TO THE STORE, double-check your total before you pay, and pay in cashā¦because once that transaction is over, they either lack the will or ability (or both) to...

Came in, was promptly greeted by the sole worker in the restaurant, quickly took my order, and set me on my way with my drink to any table to wait. Within the time I got settled with my drink at my table and had just opened my phone to fiddle about, she came from around the counter with my tray of food.
Sliced Brisket Sandwich w/ Cheddar and fries on the side. Sauce of choice was Original BBQ. Sandwich is exactly what I wanted. Just meat and cheese on an inoffensive bun. Meat was tender and juicy. Cheddar was sharp. Simple and good. The fries might be the best thing they can mass produce. Natural and crispy with the flavor being less of the oil it's cooked in and more just warm potato. 10 out of 10 fry.
In a day where I had nothing going on and no expectations, but I had a craving that I decided to act on, I'm completely satisfied.

Hesitantly I ran my card a second time. While waiting for my food I checked my online banking and sure enough just as I suspected there were two charges for my order. I informed the manager/ owner and she assured me the duplicate charge would not go through but was only pending. The next morning I checked my bank account and both charges went through and processed. I immediately called Dickys and spoke to the same manager/ owner and again she said that she would fix it immediately and reverse the charge. I have waited all week and still this hasn't been fixed so I now will have to go through my bank to try and get my money back. This is absolutely unacceptable and makes me wonder if this is a common occurrence at this restaurant. I wonder how many people have been double charged and never noticed?
