Target — Local services in Roseville

Hi, this isn’t necessarily a bad review but a question for Target themselves. Are you allowed to search the opened boxes near the aisle? I’m a regular customer at Rocklin Target where the employees aren’t so strict, letting customers like me open them with or without permission, so coming here from a far distance was a special and “unique” occasion. My friend and I are students from RHS and we were searching for Hotwheels as a birthday gift for my friend. I brought my friend along as he knows way more about hotwheels than I do so when we arrived at the section, we found a folded up box containing hotwheels not taped up so when we carried it to another aisle to search it, we were confronted and escorted out by a security employee. I understand that we didn’t ask any target personnel for permission which this response was totally reasonable, but getting kicked out felt way too extreme and unnecessary. My friend and I never meant no malicious content in stealing product. I know about the current California law about petty theft and the events that took place because of it, but my friend and I were only looking what looked best as a present for my friend. We are customers interested in buying product, not thieves. If you’re the security employee who kicked us out, please know that this was very unnecessary and was a complete misunderstanding. Though not banned, I hope that if I ever shop at this location, there should be a far less crude punishment for something a security deemed as theft just because...

Horrible experience returning and item I had purchased 48 hours prior and received a gift card with the purchase. After the transaction finished I received a temporary gift card receipt along with scanned gift card. The gc receipt stated that the 'funds' were not available but would be placed on the gc 'soon'. Before leaving the store, I went the customer service counter and was reassured that the $20 gc would be available soon. Well, I decided to return the item and I also took the $20 gc with me to accompany the return to ensure that I received all of my money back. I was assisted by a man who told me that my gc was not valid and did not have the (promised) $20. He then told me I needed to call the 1800 number on the receipt. I told him I wasn't doing that and he needed to call a manager to the customer service counter. Long store short, the manager took the card and the temp. gc receipt and the gc and disappeared. He came back and said the same thing the first guy said. I told him I wasn't leaving with out my money. After stopping short of directly accusing me of spending the gc, which I absolutely DID NOT do, I finally got the money refunded including the $20 gc. Moral of the story:...

okay so my mom and I came here to find my black flat shoes for something important and this was our last shot. We’ve been looking for these exact shoes, exact size and everything for the past 2 weeks. Went on a long long journey going to so many targets and even other stores. But I wanted the ones from target. Because they were the best ones I could find for the best price. This store didn’t have them but the manager (I think) suggested to go to the target in Douglas blvd but she said there was only ONE shoe in that exact description left. She said it was “iffy” and I thought the same because someone could’ve taken that shoe before my mom and I got there. We took that risk. Used gas and our time. I was sketchy about it but we went there. And we found it. The last pair of black flats. They’re were perfect. Thank you target manager from this target. I called so many stores they all ignored the call and didn’t answer. They either ignored the call or told me they didn’t have any. Some even said they had it and when we got there they were gone.
