The main health and safety concern was that a 2-inch black hair was in my food. When I asked the waitress if they wore hairnets, she acted like she didn't understand me.
I sent more than 3/4 of the dish back and asked for the item to be removed from my check and that I'd pay for my drink and appetizer, which I stopped consuming after I found the hair. She tried giving me $3.00 off the $19.99 item that I sent back. I had to be persistent that at the bare minimum, any good business would remove the item with human hair from a customer's bill. I sat for over 20 minutes while she was in the back. I don't know if she had to convince her manager to comp the item, but it's bad business practice either way. Eventually, the item was removed; I paid for my drink and appetizer; I left the waitress a generous tip for her troubles as I knew the hair was not her fault. It was all a waste of time and money as I didn't even finish my drink or appetizer. Most businesses would have comped the whole bill. It says a lot that they didn't even want to comp the one item. I could understand if I'd eaten the entire item, but more than 7/8th of my entire meal was left uneaten because of the hair. Regardless, I see how this place does business now and will not be recommending or going back.
The salsa is not spicy at all and lacks flavor. There were no hints of lime, cilantro, or even salt, for that matter.
The torta was so salty that I dipped it into the salsa to dilute the salt... that was until I found the hair in the torta.
The bean dip was rather bland as well. Even Del Taco has better beans than what this place has.
I'd strongly thought about giving this place another chance before I found the hair, but after finding the hair and how it was met with resistance to resolve, I will not be back here. The prices are too much for such low quality meals, with or without the hair.

Read moreMy husband and I decided to give this place a try this evening. We spent $53 on dinner and unfortunately we were both EXTREMELY disappointed. I don't like giving one star reviews but I couldn't even eat the food. We both ordered chimichangas, and they came out cut in half length wise and served open faced with a really heavy/greasy sauce poured all over the tops of them. Think of a layer of greasy tortilla fried to a crisp, topped by a layer of greasy cheese, covered by a layer of unappetizing shredded meat, drenched in a heavy cream type sauce. I tried to get a little meat down but honestly it was gross and I stopped after two bites. My husband managed to choke his food down and now he's complaining about feeling sick. The waitress did not seem concerned that I had not touched my food or wanted a box, nor did she wait to hear my response after asking if everything was okay. I hesitated and she quickly asked something else and then left. We definitely will not...
Read moreFirst time visit. I am not a doctor. Their salsa was a 10. The Atmosphere was very good and surprising from the outside. The patio is nice but too close to the busy traffic noise. The service was friendly. Warning if you do not like cheese this place may not be for you. I like cheese so i happy. The bar is good. Limited option of whiskey and scotch, but my co-diner found that consuming two traditional margaritas on the rocks (with edible flower) for a short while cured lower back pain. I am not going to publish my medical findings but will keep researching. We had the Molcajete with talapia (lot of cheese and zucchini) very good and recommend. We also shared 2 enchilada beef and carnitas. There was not enough meat to identify which was which. I was a little sad. But the taste was good. The el pastor taco was 9/10. I will revisit and do recommend. Do not do the bean dip as an appetizer...
