Oriental Market: A Great Local Asian Market in Roseville
If you are looking for an excellent Asian market in Roseville, look no further than Oriental Market. Located on Harding Boulevard, this small market offers a wide variety of items that will satisfy all of your Asian food needs.
I’m here visiting from TX AGAIN and didn’t want to brave my regular and Much bigger Asian spot out in Folsom, and remembered this place!
The selection of produce in Oriental Market is always quite impressive. You can find all sorts of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as some exotic items such as bitter melon, Gailan, Galangal, different types of herbs and more. Plus, they have a wide selection of fresh fish that they can cut and process for you right there while you wait.
In addition to the produce and fish, Oriental Market also has a great selection of frozen and canned goods, as well as a wide variety of dry goods. From noodles to sauces and seasonings, they have everything you need to make a delicious Asian meal. They also have a great selection of international sweets, such as Japanese mochi, Chinese mooncakes, milk pops to freeze for the kids on a hot summer day (like today!!!) and much more!!
The service at Oriental Market is top-notch. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they provide little rolling baskets to make it easier for you to carry all your items. The market is always clean and well-stocked, so you can rest assured that you will find everything you need.
On top of all this, Oriental Market also has a small hot food restaurant inside. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can pick up a meal on your way home, or for Lunch, or a snack…. You get me 😉

I think they are a little overpriced compared to seafood city down in McRoad Sacramento, but placer county residents do not mind anyway since Oriental Market is the only asian (mostly filipino) market in the city.
Store is run by filipino couple who quit their healthcare careers and invested their time and money by running the business (source provided by previous employee).
Oriental Market also have a dine-in mini restaurant named "KUSINA" (kitchen in english) inside the market, they have a smoothie booth, when you enter the building, their booth is on the left corner, they call it "ReeJoy" named after the female owner, Joy. They have different types of tropical flavors like mangos, watermelon, avacado, ube/purple yam, coconut and more! Oh and they also have filipino soup menus like lapaz batchoy and bulalo, you can also dine in because they have couple of tables and chairs for their customers.
Oriental Market also sell appliances like rice cooker, household items like broom, pail, water jugs, etc....
They also sell balikbayan boxes, offering 3rd party international shipping services to send packages to your relatives in the Philippines.
Lastly, my verdict, Oriental Market is a good asian/filipino market, convenient location, variety of products from canned goods, asian snacks, noodles, produce, meat, seafood, baked goods, frozen goods and more.
There you go! Thanks for letting me share my honest review, I hope this helps and have...
Read moreLow stars rating is mainly for the cooked food area. This is a typical Asian store so expect the bad customer service, most of the folks who are serving the food are old people.
What management should do is train their older workers few things about customer service plus add more food labels (ingredients) so non Filipinos will know what they are purchasing.
Not everyone knows the ingredients in an adobo, when we asked the older lady last night what meat is in the adobo her reply was '"its adobo" Okay we already know what adobo is, but we asked for what type of meat old lady. Thanks a lot for the assistance.
This is one if the reasons corporate will take over someday 😔 so good luck.
