Nubbin's Drive-In — Restaurant in Roseville

We ordered the chili burger basket and added tomato and pickles, almost no chili, and what I thought was one pickle. I brought it back, and they fixed it. He yelled at the cook and pointed out to me there were 2 pickles. They did add more chili and pickles. Fries were Luke warm.

Also had the chicken sandwich. When I ordered it, I confirmed that it was the chicken fried steak sandwich. They told me that they did not have that and indeed not on the website menu, but there are old pictures of the old menu they should take down that show chicken fried steak sandwich. He explained it was just a basic fried chicken patty. The chicken patty was very small, like the kind u buy in a bag at costco. I have included a picture. I did eat most of the chicken, and it tasted OK, but u can see what's left of the patty, and by the circumference, u can see it's way too small for the bun. Also had the fried zucchini. The best part of the meal. These were good. This was our 1st time, and we're hopeful because of the overall reviews. After eating there, I looked at the reviews, and most of the 5 stars were older, and I saw the place was under new ownership. In all fairness, they tried to be nice, but it was obvious that special requests and asking to fix the order were very irritating. Food is very personal to each person and if u are going to be in the food business, try to accommodate and don't show how irritated you might be as this affects how the customer views his overall experience

Food service is a tough and often thankless business . I hope the new owner improves the quality and service to build a successful business before...

I waited a really long time to make this review because I wanted to give the new ownership a chance and I wanted to see what everyone else thought. I am born and raised in Roseville and I’ve been coming to Nubbins literally for as long as I can remember. Stephanie was the sweetest girl and she always remembered our names. I was really sad to hear they changed ownership. I gave it a chance and unfortunately, I don’t think I’d come back.

When I went to order my food, the cook in the back was tearing mustard packets open with his mouth, and licking his fingers with mustard on them… And went right back to handling the food. He was also eating his food right in front of the window where people order taking with food in his mouth. The quality of the food went down a lot, and the service wasn’t very nice. The vibe I got was that nobody really cared to be there and they didn’t know the nubbins we all knew growing up.. o could be wrong about that but that’s the vibe it gave off.

Lastly, when people give low star reviews, the better thing to do would be to acknowledge the review, and see how you can make it a better experience. Not fight with your...

Having visited this establishment twice since the change in ownership, I must share that both experiences were, regrettably, less than satisfactory. The first experience was with the other owners before the recent ones today. They were rude and they made the food cold and unedible. Super oily and it was terrible since i haven't been there for so long. On this occasion, I sampled a selection of dishes, and I found them to be rather disappointing. The burgers lacked flavor and were overcooked i added some lettuce at home since it lacked any vegetables besides pickles. The chili cheese fries were smothered in what seemed to be nacho cheese and featured bland beans. Furthermore, the milkshake was excessively sweet and tasted artificial.
