--- recent visit from 2022 ---
My most recent visit in April 2022, ended up being a disappointment.
The food was OVER spicy. I mean I can handle chilli, but this was like RAW spicy to a level that you won't enjoy it. Food (biryani) was dry. The chicken in it was stale. Staff after taking our order forgot to bring in our sweets and on reminding they said kitchen was closed. I come from a part of India that is known for spicy food and let me tell you this is not the kind of spicy you will enjoy. Ok, so you say this is southern Indian style "spicy"? Well on this visit I also had friends from the southern part of India and they will tell you the same.
Overall, coming from an INDIAN who can handle spicy food, I won't be going back again.
--- Past visit from 2018 --- Pros: Food was good. Friendly staff. Clean place. Restroom was clean too.
Scope for improvement: service was a bit slow. Understandably they had rush today and seemed like they have 1 less staff member. the tablet order system is good, but not reliable. I faced problems placing the order and seems like others were having similar issues. I am in full support of the table self order system, but make it work reliably. this was a one off, but when we were there, I noticed a big group/family came in. The staff had to accommodate them on few tables around the restaurant. The staff took care of the group, but in doing so I felt the other customers were at inconvenience. Not sure what else the staff could have done, may be have the bigger group sited on one side of...
Read moreWe went in here not realizing that it was a vegetarian place, but still The wait was considerable for our food, but that's expected from a smaller establishment where food is cooked to order. We ordered way too much, starting with the Samosas first, the cheese Dosa(like a crepe), Porotta (pan fried, flaky, pull apart type bread), Veg Spring Dosa(spring roll, but it was soggy), Paneer 65(fried cheese), and the Thalapakatti Biriyani. Everything was hot and fresh, well seasoned, and we didnt miss the meat! Although we ate more carbs than we should've. We were served a variety of chutneys to accompany the food, mint, coconut, and tomato. My favorites were the samosas and the porotta. It had a lunchroom feel and was small inside, but cozy. We were given tablets to order which seemed like a good idea but the food had no descriptions which made it difficult if you arent familiar...
Read moreThis place was great! I met here for a business meeting/lunch. When we got there it was empty. Within 20 minute the place had a good number of people. It's a little on the small side, but we all fit just fine. The staff were all smiles and happy to help. We had the special for lunch. It was an all you can eat platter. Oh my was it good. There was no need for the all you can eat title. Moving clockwise from the left, each dish was a progress of the meal. From an introduction to heartiness all the way to the sweet desert. The staff kept a good eye on everyone and when someone got low on a dish they would come by to offer a refill of that bowl. So good! If you are in the are and want to try a little of everything, ask for the meal we had. (Sadly I don't remember the name of it, all...
