Pinto Thai Bistro — Restaurant in Roseville

My overall experience with Pinto Thai has beyond exceeded my expectations. One authentic drink you must try if you go there is the Thai Iced Tea. I’ve moved around and traveled a lot so I’ve been to Thai places all over the world and their Thai Iced Tea is by far the best I have tasted anywhere. Most Thai places I’ve gone to either make it too sweet, too bitter, or just bland, but Pinto Thai literally makes it just right. The flavor is so well balanced and so good that you’ll definitely want another one - which is great because they’ve got free refills! My personal favorites are the Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Red Curry with Salmon. I’ve been to a lot of Thai places where their Red Curry and Panang Curry mysteriously taste the exact same, and I’m glad to say Pinto Thai isn’t one of those places. The curries taste very different from each other and the food is very flavorful because the seasonings and spices are very distinct. It’s neither too spicy nor too bland and is served neither too hot nor too cold. If you want a simple Thai place where the food comes out quick and tastes outstanding you should definitely check...

Arrived 40 minutes before closing for lunch. There’s a lunch special Monday-Friday, Opening to 3 PM. The decor was cute especially the pistachio chocolate gelato colored walls. It was quiet and the music was lovely.

I had the chicken yellow curry and it was amazing. Slightly sweet with a hint of heat. The vegetables and chicken were cooked to perfection. I didn’t like the calamari as much. The batter used had a slight rancid taste and there was a thick layer of batter. I think it was a bit overcooked. But the horseradish SAUCE was so darn good.

I always look forward to thai tea at restaurants. Sometimes they can differ. But this one was mmmmmmm Delicious. Favorite part was stirring it all together. It’s my fun dopamine thing.

The service was excellent. Server was friendly and checked in us in a timely manner.

I have been to Thailand about 10 times, and have had Thai girlfriends that cooked. So I have a good idea what Thai food is about. I went about 2:30PM and it was not busy at all at that time. I went for the yellow chicken curry, medium. I have to say it tasted excellent, and it was a real Thai medium. I'm glad I did not ask for hot. it wasn't busy, so service was pretty quick, and it had real Thai people working there. One of them was a cute young Thai lady. The only think I would like to see is have some more menu items, and they should try some more decorations on the inside. The inside was rather plain like an American restaurant This local area is kind of expensive, so Thai food here was more expensive than Thai food that I normally eat further south, If I am in the area I wouldn't mind eating...
