I have never in my life been more disappointed with a restaurant. I know these guys just opened but it was so painfully obvious there is no experienced staff at all. The menu looked promising and I was so anxious to try this place despite seeing a few negative reviews. I've never given a restaurant less than a 3 star review. We arrived at 6:20pm and were seated immediately. There was maybe 4 or 5 other groups seated in the dining room. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. When our drinks arrived we ordered our entrees at 6:33pm. Our appetizer arrived maybe 10 minutes later. $7 for pickle fries. They were pretty good and I enjoyed the concept, but they weren't very hot which was concerning there was maybe no more than a handful in the basket and no dipping sauce offered. But that's fine, I can overlook that. By 7:05pm my iced tea was empty and I began to wonder what happened to our waitress. Our empty appetizer basket had been sitting empty for almost 30 minutes at this point. At 7:20pm a man walks by and asks us if everything is okay. I explain to him that we haven't seen our waitress in about 50 minutes and I was concerned our order hadn't been put in. He tells me there was a shift change and our waitress was gone but our food is on the way... 7:35pm another waitress walks by and I ask her if we have another server due to the fact that our original server has long since departed. She does not know, but she will find out for us. 7:40pm a younger man comes over and asks if he can help us, I ask if he's our new server and he says yes. I explain that we've ordered our food over an hour ago and we're getting a little restless at this point. He tells us our ticket is 3 away from being up... Says they got busy and there's a delay in the kitchen... There were 5 groups in when we ordered, at this point the place is getting busier but it was not when we ordered. I say fine and he refills my iced tea. At 7:55pm, almost an hour and a half after we ordered, our food arrives. Well most of our food. My wife's fries are not done yet they explain, but they'll be out shortly. I ordered The Judge, a relatively simple burger with bacon, their infamous bacon jam, and cheese sauce. This burger costs $12.75 and I must say, for the price it is lackluster, but it tastes pretty okay. Though considering the price, I'd likely have been more satisfied with a burger from Burger King for half that amount. The tater tots were tater tots, but I got the seasoned version and only about half of them were seasoned. My wife got The Ragnorok. Basically the same burger as The Judge, but different cheese and more bacon. By the way, at no point when we ordered these burgers did they ask how we wanted them cooked. We were starved at the point we got our food and ate faster than usual but not fast enough for my wife's fries to not arrive, and yet they didn't by the time we finished. Our waiter walked by and I asked about the fries to which he said oh yeah, they coming right out in a few minutes... I told him not to bother, we're done. He replies, oh do you want the bill?... Yeah... He brings the bill back, the fries are on the bill... But I was not charged for my iced tea, so whatever. He comes back and asks if everything looks okay, then he says, if you want I vac take this fries off... Why this hadn't already been done is beyond me, but I tell him it's fine because my iced tea isn't on there. Now I'm not one to complain and ask for comps, but if the service is that bad, the wait is that long, and the customer (me) is clearly dissatisfied, I would think that something would be offered. Take our appetizer off the bill at the very least, but no. We paid $43.99 and frankly we were still hungry when we left. It should be noted that the no other customer sitting near us was satisfied either, everyone spoke amongst each other and talked about how bad it was. I wanted so much to like this place, but they need...
Read moreTHIS PLACE WILL FAIL in less than a month. We originally went here on opening day and understandably dealt with all their problems because we saw the menu and everything looked amazing. We decided to give them a chance and ended up waiting for over 2 hours to get our food. When we did, it was delicious, juicy and hot. Tonight we decided to try carry out and avoid the long wait. Although the food was ready when they said it would be, we were VERY DISAPPOINTED in how far their quality has slipped in just 2 weeks. We ordered the Ragnarock burger on our first night there and wanted that same delicious flavorful burger that made me go back tonight. We are sorry we did, because the Ragnarock burger we got this evening was one of the most piss poor excuses for a hockey puck that one would expect from some dive bar or your drunk uncle Joe's backyard BBQ. Not only were our burgers overcooked and dry but they were also flavorless with NO whiskey bacon onion jam like we had the first night. We tried adding ranch and BBQ sauce to help us choke them down, but eating just half of these gut busters made us feel sick. ANYONE could have made these burgers better than the Squidward you had behind the grill tonight. We also got the tater tots that were just luke warm and thrown in a cup with no lids, so dont turn corners too fast our you'll be pulling loose tots from the bottom of your bag. Our burgers were just wrapped in tin foil which is o.k. considering they were just glorified Burger King burgers tossed in the bag..seriously though, a Whopper would have tasted better. I will NOT be going back because I think this place will be closed very soon. If I were the owner, I'd fire that poor excuse for a cook, the bar manager and a few of the clueless waitstaff and hire some people that know what the hell they are doing because this place is a complete mess. I did not expect to pay over $50 to get some mediocre burgers and a few cups of lukewarm tots. If you like long waits, overpriced food, listening to the same 6 songs on the jukebox over and over and a beer menu you have to stare at like a kid in a classroom (Seroiusly the only drink menu is on a chalkboard behind the bar or above your head in the other end), then this place is for you. Good luck getting what you ordered because its guaranteed not to be right. The Worlds End may just be a prophetic play on words for this place if they don't start getting things right. Its a shame because the food WAS really good the...
Read moreI have given this place several chances, but I can no longer in good faith return here.
First, the atmosphere is in need of a major face lift. They do not have a sound system of any kind, just a small bluetooth speaker in the middle of the dining room. They have chalkboards where they write out the tap list, wine selection, and boozy milk shakes- which is fine, but they do not print out a tap list for their patrons. You are expected to get up and walk to the other side of the restaurant to see whats available.
Secondly, service is always subpar. I never have high expectations for service. I am always patient and understanding because i used to be a waitress- i know how things go. However, when our waitress reads us back our order & says “the cook doesnt like me, so i just wanted to make sure you guys knew if your food is messed up, it isnt my fault”…. ???? Then, insinuated that the cook might make the food poorly to get back at her for letting us order- because he closed down the kitchen… We came in to order food AN HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO STOP SERVING FOOD. With this being said, she took a long time to initially take our order& the food took even longer to come out. Chef wanted us to know that there was no beans or coleslaw available, despite the menu clearly stating that all burgers came with a choice of either. Of course none of it was hot/ fresh. Fries were cold, mac & cheese cold. No sense of pride was seen anywhere in the establishment. The waitress also continued to complain about another table in the restaurant, stating that she couldnt wait for them to leave because they were “being mean” to her. She also said that the bartender didnt like her, thats why one guest in our party had to wait over 20 minutes for his draft beer (all despite the restaurant being seemingly empty).
One thing i like about this place is how they actually season the patty.
Needless to say, i am disappointed that i wasted our money here yet again. Every time i come i hope for some improvement, but it gets worse every chance. Not sure if they need new management, or better employees who take accountability and own their job. I wish i could send John Taffer in here- or better yet, a health inspector.
