Pepe's — Restaurant in Ross Township

If I was able to put 0 stars I would! Come into the restaurant the staff look & says nothing. Eventually asked if we’re taking out or staying. Do you mean if we are “dining” what is staying. Very unprofessional! We answer staying the staff WALK CLEAN OFF no further instructions. We had to ask “do we sit ourselves” who WALKS off on paying customers without informing them of how it’s done! Bartender literally told me when asked for a Miami Vice that she “doesn’t have time for that, she’s running the entire restaurant herself and only 1 blender” that’s ABSURD to tell someone willing to pay their money some mess like that. We’ve been seated now almost 30mins still no chips or salsa. Our drinks were brought in plastic cups. She even made a smart remark about “y’all sat all the way up here” as if we don’t have the right to choose where we sit. This is ridiculous and I will NOT be returning. I’m not even staying to eat, I’m am now leaving. Do better and maybe the place wouldn’t be so dead, literally looks...

If I could I would give them negative stars. Place was dark and dingy. We were told to sit anywhere. We were only given lunch menus. While we were reading the waitress/bartender brought us water in a plastic cup and never asked if we wanted anything else to drink. She asked if we wanted chips and salsa. The salsa was so runny it wouldn't stay on the chip. We ordered the Chili Con Queso. It took 15 minutes for it to be served and when it was it all liquified except for a few chunks of cheese in it. We sent it back when she brought us our meal. Except for our meals being lukewarm our entrees flavorful and acceptable. We arrived there around 11:45 am and left around 12:45 pm. By 3:00 pm I felt sick to my stomach and ended up vomiting and had severe diarrhea. Considering this was my first and only meal of the day I can only attribute this to there food. This place was horrible, went on a Sunday, the place was run down and dark. At first we thought it was closed, till my husband pulled on the door. We were the only ones dining in, there were a handful of people at the bar. The food was nasty! I ordered the taco dinner. I asked for soft flour tacos and when the food came to the table my flour taco shells were burnt, the rice was dry/cold and the refried beans smelled and tasted bad. I think I ate 1 taco and some of the rice left there hungry because I didnt trust the food. We got served our drinks in a 8 .0z plastic cup. When it was time take my cc for payment, the lady went around the back of the restuarant through some doors came back, went back again, then came back with a reciept? Kind of shady. We have dined there before some years ago and it was good but we will never go back again! Stay away...
