Step aside Fioris, Betos, Badamos, Il Pizzialo, et al. Forget all the others, the best pizza in the Pittsburgh region is Uncle Koko’s, without doubt.

Tonight my wife and I ate the large margarita pizza with pepperoni and sausage cooked in their wood fired oven. The crust was absolutely unreal, thin and crispy as can be, very little flop, yet still had the perfect amount of chew and artisan flavor to it.

One of the most unique parts about the pizza was the thickest and tastiest hand cut pepperoni I’ve ever had on a pizza. It had crispy edges from the wood fired oven with the perfect amount of spice to it. The sauce was airy and sweet, just the right amount. Basil was fresh and aromatic. The cheese is a creamy mozzarella that melts into the sauce, creating a harmonious blend of flavors.

This pizza was as close to perfect as I have ever had! I highly recommend you go out of your way to check this gem out, you will not regret it. I also recommend eating it at the shop right out of the...

Starting off, the artwork of the restaurant was kinda unique, but the atmosphere wasn't very welcoming. We felt uncomfortable being in the vicinity of the man working the counter due to his demeanor. For these reasons and because of the small size of the restaurant, it definitely is more suited for takeout as opposed to dining in. The breadsticks were good, but the garlic parmesan wings I got were so salty that I couldn't eat them. The flavor was there, but there was just too much salt.

They should probably just stick to pizza because that's where they shined. I got the Pasquale, which has meatballs and sausage. Don't let the "four cut" fool you; the slices are huge and the crust is thick and hefty. This ain't no floppy pizza where everything just falls off when you pick it up. It was quite tasty and I would recommend you come for the pizza. Overall, probably 3.5 out of 5 stars due to the shortcomings of the other stuff. However, the...

Edit/ update: I fix my reviews when my mind is changed. This pizza is fantastic for breakfast the next morning. There is flavor that I definatly did not taste last night when the pizza was hot and floppy, but firming in the fridge I can taste the sauce and peporoni with hints of onion. I would absolutly recommend purchasing this pizza and eating it the next day!

We were still disappointed with the hot food but I was 5 minutes late and stood in line for 7 minutes then had a 10 minute ride home so that very well could be why our pizza was soggy. I still have to say the taste was not there last night but as stated above I could taste it this morning. ( no I do not have covid)

I also apologize forbmiscounting the cheese balls. Personally we still didn't like them but it might have been the breading or just not whst I was expecting.

I loved the decor of the building do maybe will have to eat there next time to get the freshest...

I have been waiting to try Uncle Koko's for months - and it was definitely worth the wait! Their woodfired pizza is terrific! When I try a new pizza joint, I always have a straight up plain / margherita pie so I can get a good taste of their base pizza - and Uncle Koko's is probably the best brick oven / wood fired pizza I have ever had! The crust was well cooked on the bottom, but not burnt. The sauce is extremely tasty, not bland. The cheese is perfect - no grease at all! The guys behind the counter were great, and the custom horror paintings decorating the small dine in area are amazing! This place is well deserving of every 5 star review!
