Truly awful service experience, and the blame falls squarely on management. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar. It was full, but completely manageable for two bartenders and a service bartender. I’ve worked in this industry for years, and this wasn’t about being short-staffed. It was about a total lack of leadership.
We grabbed the only two open seats, which were covered in dirty plates and old drinks. It took five full minutes before anyone even noticed and cleared them. When someone finally did, we ordered a beer, a skinny margarita, and two Don Julio shots.
The beer took five minutes to show up. The margarita and shots? Forgot about completely. No update, no apology, nothing. Eventually the bartender came back and asked, “What did you order again?” Once she realized she had forgotten, it still took another twenty minutes to get the rest of the drinks.
The only bright spot was Molly. She was two days into the job and clearly trying her best to keep things moving. She was kind, attentive, and honestly saved the entire experience from being a total loss. But she was left completely stranded without any support.
Meanwhile, the manager was just standing around on her phone, texting while the team struggled. No help, no presence, no leadership. Just watching things fall apart in real time and doing absolutely nothing.
This wasn’t a one-off bad night. It was a clear example of what happens when no one is in charge. Management sets the tone, and here it was...
Read moreTonight’s visit to Azotea Cantina in Roswell was, unfortunately, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in some time.
My party was seated promptly and our original server, Oscar, took our drink orders without issue. However, after placing a second round of cocktails and preparing to order entrées, Oscar apparently walked out mid-shift. We were left at our table for well over 30 minutes with empty glasses, no updates, and no opportunity to order food.
It wasn’t until the 45-minute mark—after we flagged down another staff member—that we learned our server had quit. No one from management ever visited the table, offered an apology, or explained how the restaurant planned to remedy the situation. A different server eventually stepped in, but by then the evening felt irreparably derailed.
A quick apology and some proactive communication from management could have salvaged the night; instead, we felt ignored and undervalued. Given the number of quality dining options in Roswell, this level of service is unacceptable. I hope the team at Azotea treats this as an opportunity to improve training and guest communication, because I’d like to return someday—but only if they can demonstrate a genuine commitment to...
Read moreThe restaurant is Loverly decorated inside, with a Loverly bar area… but that’s all!!! We took our out of town guests there for dinner. What a disappointment, Food, and cocktail’s were horrible. I ordered a cocktail that had ginger beer in. They forgot the ginger beer!!! after all our cocktails were not good we complained to “female manager” She was sweet , and said their bar man did not come to work. Food was cold. Shrimp taco had 4 tiny shrimp on, that the manager agreed it was not right., the starter ok. Main meal horrible Our Waiter tried hard, but unfortunately was so busy with other tables he was not very attentive. But that was not his fault. He should have had a runner to assist him. This owner “ who was not there” needs to learn a lot to run a successful restaurant. Will definitely not be going back. Then the cheek we were charged for our horrible cocktails. Oh well! This restaurant will not last. Bad...
