This was my first visit here and I have to say, it was some of the best food I have ever had! Not best Ramen....best food! I had a non-alcoholic drink (Miss J??) and it was full of fresh pureed strawberry and mint....delicious!!! My friend and I split some Goyza and agreed that we could just order 10 of those and be very, very happy! But for me, the start of the show was the Vegan Red Fire Opal Ramen. I am not a vegan, or even a vegetarian these days, but it sounded so delicious that I decided to go for it. Oh my.....it is seriously one of the best things I have ever tried. It has kind of a hot and sour broth and delicious veggies and noodles. You can add all kinds of things, including meat, and I highly recommend it!
The service was lovely and the place is just super cool looking. I can imagine that it is a pretty hot spot in the evenings, and their drink menu looks like a lot of fun.
The only reason I gave it four stars on atmosphere is that the staff all (traditionally, as I understand) yells everytime a party is seated and yells 'Arigato' when any body leaves. Being a Sunday lunch, it wasn't too busy but the constant sudden loud noise while we were trying to have a conversation was pretty disruptive. This practice would be enough to keep me from dining in on a Friday or Saturday night. But it would not stop me from ordering the food.....I would just get it to go! :) :) :) Thank you Jinya....can't wait to have...
Read moreJinya’s new Roswell location is a great addition! Modern space with a big bar, TVs, & free parking out front.
We took advantage of their Tuesday $2 taco special & enjoyed the spicy tuna tacos in crispy wontons to start. Buffalo cauliflower (that’s actually spicy) & shrimp tempura were both tasty (though the shrimp could’ve been crispier if not for being heavily sauced). The Jinya Bun is a must - probably the softest bao I’ve ever had (hoping they offer a tofu version in the future!). Tried the Cha Cha Cha Ramen Opening Special …great flavor, perfect noodles, pork, & egg, but a touch too salty. After a few slurps our tongues felt like sandpaper. (Pro-tip: add the cabbage for some extra texture) Drinks were solid - the Ring Mule was well-balanced & beautifully presented & the Smokey Wakashi was a lighter take on an old-fashioned.
Biggest highlight? Our server, Vynnie …attentive, personable, & super knowledgeable. Definitely ask for her section! Looking forward to a...
Read moreWe have been patrons of Jinya for some time now. We have frequented both the Alpharetta and Sandy Springs locations. Today we went to the new location in Roswell. Immediately you notice that they have good parking. The food was great as usual and the new building g has a very nice atmosphere. Nothing bad to say. What I will say is that our Waitress Evi was nothing short of amazing. She was very knowledgeable about the business And the menu. She worked all the stations from seating, to the bar to serving. She missed nothing. Her service was impeccable and was only eclipsed by her friendly, professional and caring nature. I will definitely be back and hope that she is my...
