We were looking for a good authentic Mexican restaurant to stop for lunch. So we saw the reviews and decided to stop, me and four boys. We walked and were sat immediately, like most other Mexican restaurant. We sat down and came and brought us some odd round tortilla chip with an odd flavored seafood mixture on top. It was very bland and not like anything I’ve ever had before. They didn’t bring chips and salsa or waters. They took our drink order and the lady said she didn’t speak good English. Asked for a Diet Coke and she looked confused so we got a Coke. My son asked for a water and my other son asked for a sprite. Looking at the kids menu and it was limited to six items, so my youngest ordered a cheese quesadilla, which was listed at $6.99, me and my other two boys order two steak tacos which were $2.50 a taco. Since they didn’t bring chips and salsa we ordered a cheese dip with chips.
The time from ordering to receiving our food didn’t take long and that was a plus, however when the tacos came out they were very small not what we have got from multiple other Mexican restaurants. The flavor was ok but just wasn’t a lot. These cheese quesadilla was not bad size and flavor was good.
We received the bill and we were charged $2.00 for a water and $2.50 per soda. The cheese quesadilla that was $6.99 on the bill ended up being $9.99. The chips and cheese was $6.99 for a small bowl of cheese and a couple chips.
Long story short, the flavor of the dishes were bland and not full of flavor like most Mexican restaurants we’ve been too in the past. Cost was much higher for the amount of food as well. The waitress was nice but then again she didn’t speak much English. We won’t be returning due to the cost of food for the...
Read moreFirst of all, this place is expensive for no reason. The place looked like the cealling was falling apart, the restrooms were dirty and old and the music is just way too loud, you could barely hear the person in front of you talk. Upon arrival we notice that we got the same menu but different prices on at least 4 of them and a small caesar salada 26 dollars? When we ask the waitress didn't say or do anything and lenguage barrier wasn't an issue. When we ordered our drinks at least 3 of us didn't get what we asked for. After we ordered our food, it took forever! (The restaurant wasn't full, it probably had 5 full tables at the most) Two of us got the food cold but since we were having a bad experience we didn't even wanted to made it worse. Anyway, spend your money somewhere else where it's worth like the other restaurant next door or...
Read moreNothing special. With all the Mexican restaurant competition in Roswell, you would think these guys would be better.
The staff is indifferent about whether you are there. The menu is loaded with lots of overly pricey seafood options.
It didn't feel like the place for fish shrimp or oysters 😕 and I'm glad I didn't order any. Instead, I got tacos 🌮
The heavy seafood push had me order a shrimp taco, asada and compechano. The shrimp was tasteless frozen shrimp pieces. Meh! The steak and compechano tacos were OK, no biggie.
The one stand out was the hot sauces that accompany the tacos. Amazing and unexpected volumes of deep flavor. I would buy these just to have at home.
The salsa is average and the guacamole decent. Not much flavor to either.
With so many other better options, Lis Cabos will not...
