I’ve been going to this sonic for the last year and sometimes they’re good and sometimes they’re bad. they always need one of their top managers to run smooth operations smooth. Today I went and ordered a large chili cheese, dog Coney with a large cheese tot, it took 32 minutes for them to bring my order out, It was completely wrong. They came with the chili and cheese tot, not a huge issue, I asked if they can correct us and they do and it takes 17 minutes for that to happen. Then they bring me back a medium cheese tot . Then I wait another eight minutes. When you have somebody’s order that was messed up, I should not see four other cars pulled off with their food and three other cars in the stalls leaving. Every one of these employees they were trying to help the bus hop were no more than 21 years of age, then they bring me a tot that has little to nothing in it and I show the manager and she is super surprised that there’s little to no tots. I will never return to this place. The tea was disgusting and you can tell for sure when someone’s just rinsing out the tea cans and not actually scrubbing them. It tasted like four day old tea. The same thing happened last Tuesday I went to the same sonic, My girl listen to my complaining all day. I need to get what I paid for. Also, after being there for 45+ two people hop out of their car that I’ve been in the drive-through for only 10 minutes, All they saw is when I talked to the manager and told him this was unacceptable. They kept telling me to go home and they could tell that one of the carhops wanted to cry and she looked like she already was. I explained the situation to them and they kept completely talking mess, telling me I needed to go home, not knowing I’ve been waiting for 45 minutes with the baby in the back. They then tried to act like they were gonna come make me go home. This is Texas and if someone puts my life at threat, it’s gonna be a bad story. This sonic I now consider a place I can never go to. Little did those three gentlemen that were gonna apparently make me leave, know that I had a 9 mm loaded, (as a Texan with a license to carry )…Like I said, I don’t feel comfortable going to the sonic anymore because with my baby in the car and three guys about to attack me let’s just say the full metal jackets would not have missed. This could’ve been a very bad ending. I’m lucky that by the grace of God I was able to de-escalate the situation because if they would of attacked me, (trying making me go home in the most aggressive way) There their lives would’ve been in gods...
Read moreI’ve given this location so many chances but now drive 10 min further to go to a different Sonic. Franchise owner- you need to get new management and get rid of who you have now. An employee informed us that the manager tells them not to answer the button when they’re busy. To just ignore the customers. So people will literally sit 20, 30+ minutes to even get a person on the intercom to take their order- and this is not even when they’re swarming with customers. If they’re even moderately busy you can forget about it. The manager once gave us a coupon for TEN free combo meals and said she’d give us ten more once we used them all, all because she had us wait for over a half hour to place our order before I had to physically go up to the building to get someone to acknowledge me. So your manager is ignoring paying customers, and giving away a ridiculous amount of stuff to chill out angry customers. Find someone new! Any other sonic you go to it takes no more than a minute or two to talk to someone (usually less). This is supposed to be FAST food- you don’t even wait 30 minutes to give your order at a sit down restaurant. Get it...
Read moreI feel bad bc the kids working here are understaffed and KIDS who are clearly in over their heads... they ROUTINELY forget the drive through exists... won’t respond when called to and will leave people sitting for an obscene about of time without interaction. Tonight I pulled in and saw two cars waiting for food in the drive through and one car at the order station. I pulled behind. The one car waiting to order waited for a solid 10 minutes repeated asking “hello?” And “excuse me” before eventually driving away. I pulled up and did the same for an additional 5 minutes before leaving. No response ever for either vehicle. If you’re swamped, ask the customer to wait a minute... nbd... but this place clearly doesn’t care. I’d like to say this is an isolated incident but this is a common occurrence. It seems like managers aren’t a thing and 3 16 year olds are left to run a business. You’d be better off driving to the Pflugerville location and getting service... probably in less time than you’d even be...
