Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Round Rock

I had never heard of Charlie's before noticing them while visiting a local Walmart. I would put Charlie's in the category with other chains like Mike's or Subway.

I asked for a regular cheesesteak and was served a nice six-inch sub. The bread was soft (not an amerosa roll but a proprietary similar product). However, what I noticed immediately was lettuce and tomato on the sandwich. Um, NO!

Apparently, they offer a selection called Old School Cheesesteak, which doesn't have tomatoes and onions. Anyone from Philly will emphatically tell you NEVER put tomatoes and lettuce and a cheesesteak.

I threw those off the hoagie, and it tasted pretty good. The meat while 100% USDA choice looked like pre-cut minute steaks, again not a bad taste. I guess when you expand the chain, you have to find a way of quickly making orders, and that product works.

I have moved away from subs in this category. Probably won't be back, BUT try them out and go Old School for sure!

Very clean store and...

I don't know how a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich is supposed to taste, but this Philly Cheese Steak sandwich was DELICIOUS. This was my first time at Charley's, but it won't be my last! Javier, one of the managers, took my order and was a great, personable, friendly person. I asked if I could pluck out his beard if I didn't like my sandwich, and he said YES without batting an eye. That is CONFIDENCE in a GREAT PRODUCT! Arturo was the man on the grill that actually made the magic happen, he made an excellent sandwich for my meal. Turns out Arturo is also a member of management. I spoke with some of the nob management employees and they all had great attitudes. Happy employees generally turn out superior products. This is a nice clean restaurant located inside of a Walmart. Attempts to eat here previously were unsuccessful due to timing....today I actually was in area during the hours this store is open....GLAD I TRIED THEM in a world where we constantly get short end of the stick Charley's went way past expectations I tried the 20 boneless wings with regular fries special 18 bucks I chose teriyaki and bbq both tasted great but what shocked me was the size of the chicken and fries you get your money's worth here I will be back for more...and the chicken is very soft and moist GREAT JOB FROM CHARLEY'S imo this will become a regular stop for me when...
