Whataburger — Restaurant in Round Rock

This has got to be the worst ran Whataburger in the country! I have been to this location 3 times now, twice inside and once drive through. Each time I went inside to order, there has been no one ahead of me waiting to order, and I still had 25-30min wait times (and that is only because we had to ask where our order was to get them to acknowledge any dine-in customers). They focus so much on drive through (which is a poor experience in itself) that the dine-in customers ALL have terrible experiences. The cashier each time has been rude, the place is dirty always, and the food comes out sub-par quality, cold or wrong.

Today I waited for about 25 min, I had 2 managers ask about my order to see where it was. One staff member said "we are working on it now".. that was a lie. Because 10 min later another manager asked and had to have me give him my receipt just so he can go make it himself. The managers were very helpful but still seemed to not know what was going on. I heard one ask "where do the front counter tickets come out?", the staff showed him and there were a string of tickets unaddressed because they only gave focus to the drive through.

As a long time fan of Whataburger, I brag about yall. I have the custom yeti cup and my girl has the James Avery necklace.. I am used to the service at my Deer Park, La Porte, Pasadena TX locations.. now that I moved to Austin/RR... this is by far the worst place to eat. Please have corporate address this and do some retraining or something.. bring some all-stars from my locations I listed to come turn this...

Just ate here on Friday night, they were busy, maybe a little understaffed for the rush. Food was excelent as always, but the inside of this store was trashed, puddle of water/soda was there on the floor in front of the drink machine for over an hour while i was there. not one clean table, and trash and old food on the floor all over the place. I almost asked for a towel so i could wipe down tables for them.

UPDATE: (9/16/2024) Just grabbed dinner from here, service was TERRIBLE. Asked for LG onion rings, got fries, asked me if i wanted ketchup, and gave me one packet for 2 large fries.... I dont go there for the fries, i go there for the onion rings and was denied.

Please put someone else on the drive through as the woman was working it this evening does not listen, and does not speak clearly, when you are reading back someone's order and telling them how much, that voice should be loud and clear. She is a nice lady and all, but not the right pick for the drive through.

1/4/2025 Just went there for breakfast (Drive through). Ordered 2 BOB's, 2 Hashbrowns, Med Coke, Bacon egg Taquito. He read back the order so fast, it sounded right. When i got to the window, asked me if i wanted any ketchup, i said, yes, regular not spicy. The order was handed to me, and it had no hasbrowns, no ketchup, no napkins, and i was the ONLY car in line. Over 40 years of eating at Whataburger and hands down this was the worst one I have ever encountered. Of course I left my phone in the car. 4/15 at 9PM was when we visited. Upon entering we immediately should have turned around and left. 1st an employee entered with us and quickly went ahead of us and walked up to the register. Thinking it was something official it wasn't a big deal. NOPE he was ordering food. We waited over 5 mins while he figured out what he wanted. Only one register open. 3 orange shirt employees and one grey shirt visiting and having a great time. No one ever acknowledged us or now the 3 other people in line. Now we were invested to see how this train wreck will play out. But wait there's more.....the store was littered with trash. There were 2 discarded latex gloves next to the tea dispenser, a smashed cup in the soft drink dispenser and looked like spilled Powerade on the floor in front of the register. None of the employees cared one bit. They walked by and on trash never batting an eye. Even when an employee was getting a personal drink they left the smashed cup. There is obviously a top down issue at this store. This was absolutely the worst Whataburger ever. I truly feel for the employees as they have no guidance or leadership. Overall keep driving down 35.
