Crab Time — Restaurant in Rowland Heights

We ordered the stinky tofu with kimchi, bullfrog, and crawfish. The stinky tofu with kimchi was tasty, but it was quite expensive. However, our bad experience didn't end there. The bullfrog seemed to have been frozen previously, resulting in poor meat quality that was difficult to chew. It was severely overpriced at $78 for frozen bullfrog. Lastly, we opted for the spicy crawfish with noodles, following the recommendation, but were shocked when our food arrived. We paid $10 for the noodles and received instant noodles on top? The worst part was the crawfish itself. Around 70% of the crawfish were alive but lacked flavor, while the other 30% were dead and starting to rot. They hadn't properly cleaned the crawfish, which is unacceptable considering the high price we paid for the dish. Came with my spouse and her coworkers. We tried their Crayfish in Durian pot, spicy frog legs, spicy pig blood, spicy crab, spicy noodles and mixed noodles.

I really enjoyed the spicy pig blood as it was in a vat of Mala spicy oil. The blood was soft and almost breaking up upon picking it.

The spicy frog legs were nicely sautéed in an assortment of dried chili's and finished off in a subtle sweet sauce. The hint of sweetness helped give the spice a good contrast.

The crayfish in durian pot was interesting. I loved the sauce as it provided the umami of durian. Sucking down the crayfish juices mixed with durian was nice.
