Ishi Sushi — Restaurant in Rowland Heights

I didn't care for this sushi spot. Don't get me wrong, though. The fish is fresh and they give huge portions. My low rating is for the lack of flavor and variety of the fish. It is a nice looking restaurant and clean! Salmon should have a creamy and melt-in-your-mouth feeling when it is fresh. The salmon sashimi was fresh and felt creamy but it did not melt in my mouth, because of the huge cuts of the fish. I've eaten at a lot of sushi restaurants and thick cuts are not normal. When you compare the flavor for the cost, this place is overpriced. Their tuna was most likely stored right next to or on top of their albacore, because it had the same heavy slightly bitter taste of albacore. Not good! If I wanted albacore I would order that... The yellow tail was sliced differently than I'm used to and it definitely had a slight odor which means it is not fresh. The taste was off on that as well. Great service and environment. Terrible service !! I want to give 0 star or negatives star!! NEVER ever go there again !! The waitress was super rude!! She don't want to clean the table and she rudely yell at me "I just left the towel on the table , you don't know how to clean it?" Excuse me ? How RIDICULOUS is it?

The Kid spilled the water carelessly, try to ask somebody to clean. We wait for a while ,the waitress come and clean only a part of the table and she take away the towel and she left. There a lot of water still on the table and the floor.

And than she came back, my friends ask for help again. She just rudely told us, she came and left the towel already (actually she took away earlier), than she yell to us "You don't know to clean the table?" OMG! We totally don't wanna visit again! Anyone want...

Last year I came here and ordered a foie gras rice dish, the foie gras had a bitter taste and a strong fishy odor. It was the first time I had such a bitter foie gras in a foie gras rice dish. The teriyaki sauce in the rice couldn't mask the bitterness and fishy taste of the foie gras. I have never eaten such a bad foie gras before. After finishing the meal, we even asked the owner if there was something wrong with the foie gras today. To our surprise, she told us that foie gras itself has that taste. I find it absurd; they must think the customers are fools. We were speechless, and we definitely won't come again. It's expensive and tastes awful.
