I'm a regular at this place and my family and girlfriend love it here too! Really kind and attentive owner, plus the prices are really inexpensive for the generous portion size. It's 100% comfort-food level in my opinion, and I never tire of it.
My recommendations: The #1 Pho is a great standard order, especially shared with one other family member. The broth is always piping hot and soul soothing unlike some other nearby Pho places. Be sure to ask for a side of white onions too! Also, I really like the fried egg rolls appetizer too.
For rice: #25 or #29 (Charbroiled Pork, Baked Minced Meat & Egg, and either #25 Shrimp Paste or #29 Meat Balls). Big taste in these orders, but the portion size for baked rice dishes is just slightly lesser compared to the other orders, but perfect for a single person. I recommend it if you're ordering for quality taste rather than quantity and/or needing to share family-style.
For vermicelli: #45 or #56 (Charbroiled Pork, Fried Egg Rolls, and #45 Shrimp Paste or #56 Meat Balls). Tastes healthy and really fresh, plus resuming with generous portion sizes. The fish sauce included with this and the baked rice is no joke and tastes wonderful!
Lastly, if you're not eating out with your S.O. and are a fan of durian, the Durian shake with boba is divine. I almost always order a cup at the end...
Read moreMy husband and I come here for lunch once a week. The place is clean and the food is delicious. We've tried many food options but our regular is nr 1 option, the special in a large bowl, that can be shared and the Vietnamese coffee. The pho it has a natural taste and it comes with basil, jalapeño, bean sprouts and lime. I believe they are not using MSG, because I never get headache after I eat it as I am usually getting after eating MSG food. The Vietnamese coffee is amazing and if you never tried one before, you should at least try it once!! On lunch time it can get pretty packed but their service is very fast and we never had to wait for our table. The servers are very friendly, polite, they speak English, Vietnamese and Chinese. At least we know of one lady that speaks all 3 languages. Parking spots in the front of the restaurant but there is also the Stater Bros supermarket with additional big parking lots in the same plaza. Additional bonus the restaurant it is next to East West Bank in case you need some cash or just banking in...
Read moreFriday 8/9/24 Dinner at Golden Noodle & Grill in Rowland Heights. I’ve ordered #38 Roasted chicken on tomato rice. It is so crispy outside flavorful and tender inside; so delicious. This restaurant is a hidden gem which makes delicious Vietnamese foods with reasonable prices.
Long, service staff, was friendly and attentive to customers.
Van Huynh, restaurant owner & chef, has a great personality and cooks delicious Vietnamese foods. Dishes includes pho, broken rice, vermicelli, Chinese noodle soup, chow fun & mein, congee, Banh mi, Vietnamese deserts, milk shakes, and smoothies; all at a reasonable price. She took her time to greet me and even strike a pose for a photo which is posted on her Google map restaurant. Thank you Van!
The restaurant has nice decorations, clean, well lit, and well air conditioned on this warm day.
I recommend trying out this restaurant.
