Sometimes times your served an avg. amount other times lesser; but theres 'ALOT' of bones, Ligaments & fat that are uneatible; too much of the 'throw away' stuff 'which appeared as if the container was filled' reasonably (the stuff you don't eat). Many visits with servings where the portions was 'ALOT' of 'Throw away stuff', but occasional instances where the food didn't have great flavor. 'Food server' will talk negative about Americans to the Other workers, when 'Natural born American' customers, ask for a reasonable, fair trade, food platter amount but not towards Asians, which you'll see, this with your own eyes occuring, there & how they give prefference towards 'other Asians'; which are asking for 'no skin', 'fat' 'Ligaments' or 'bones' and wanting excessively filled platters, then afterwards, 'Even requesting any possible, 'price discount" they can possibly get, (on top of the already special prefference treatments); which 'the Server' (even then), Doesnt degrade those; of their own kind But only, any naturally born U.S. American citizen! That cant even request the least of those benefits; without getting bitterness in response from them! Try asking for a Sample & then Watch, 'Notice how That food sample, just costed you, from your actual, food platters amount' but not occuring against, 'their own kinds', (Asian customers) platter amounts! ● Notice to "NonAsian Customers", "Always Keep an Eye on the Food servers hands; one of the servers has been caught attempting to remove some of the main items, After serving & closing the container, When NonAsian, (American customers) aren't focused with attention upon it'! "Seriously, I've caught the lady, with her sight at me but her hands with food tongs 'Very Quickly', Reopening my food container, while it was being set towards the register for payment! • Her Sneaky game, is to first serve items appealingly, but then 'to try & take food out from it, afterwards whenever possible'! • The other Sneaky Trick, is when they communicate in Asian, "Your Food Server" makes your order but the "Other Server" 'copies/duplicates that same order with less portions', your container is then placed on the counter towards register but 'the container you Actually Get' is the same food order but with the smaller portions; we were Very Surprised to have encountered these unexpected tricks they impose.....but they Sure Dont Reduce that Price (which increases every year)! ● During various visits there, We've been noticing that the food container recieved, after paying then handed to eat, is 'Less than originally ordered' & including meat parts which weren't originally served inside the actual food servers container (ex. 3 uncomplete drumstick bones with mostly fat & bone; the non edible 'Throw away' stuff)! The problem seems to be a few Asian food servers; aged between 40s-50s! 'Avoid her', American People, but they are very bias for assisting their own...
Read moreI've just discovered Rolling Wok a couple months ago and let me tell you, I am amazed. I've missed this authentic, home-style Chinese/Taiwanese fast food. First of all, the choices are great. There are so many dishes to choose from and so far from what I've tried, all of them are very yummy. I wasn't able to snap a pic of all the dishes but there are many more than this.
Second, the prices are unbeatable. You cannot get this quality food for this price anywhere else. Very cheap but very yummy!! I see lots of complaints about price increases but with the increase of many factors, it's inevitable. Not just for RW but other stores too. The thing is that it's still very cheap and the food is high quality enough that you are not wasting money. I cannot find a place that can match this price and quality. Even large fast food Chinese food chains have terrible quality but is more expensive than RW. I'm definitely choosing RW.
Lastly, I love how rice and soup are optional and can be added on for a small extra cost. Usually at these three dish + one rice places, rice is already included, but sometimes I have rice at home and don't want. I love how I can add it on if I want it. Not to mention, the soup is AMAZING it reminds me so much of what I had when I was younger. The soup is a soft but tasty clear-ish soup with corn, egg, cabbage, onion, and another vegetable I believe.
The workers are always moving very quickly so even if there's a long line the wait is not long at all. They are always very sweet as well. I highly recommend! It's...
Read moreWe will never return! Their service is rude. When my boyfriend walked in, the lady at the counter said "what do you want!" in a seething and hateful tone. Looking around, there were no delicious looking serving stations filled with food, like you see in the photos!!! Just a mean lady in an empty restaurant. Those photos of the buffet tables are a lie- that is not in this restaurant. There was not even a menu. He asked for a dish with tofu and veggies with rice,, and he was given fried hard (like cement) tofu squares, and a pile of kimchee. The food smelled rotten (and not just kimchee-rotten, that's a way better smell) and we couldn't eat it. It wasn't a difference of pallette, it was really rotten and it made our whole kitchen stink when we opened the box. Even our dog ran from the smell. Tofu should NOT smell like that! We had to throw it away outside in the dumpster and spray our kitchen with lysol to get rid of the stink! Worst local restaurant experience we ever had. This is not the first time we have experienced hatred toward us from Asian businesses in Rowland Heights- where we live. However, the good businesses make it worth it and I really do look forward to writing a good review instead of all these negative ones. So we are out $7 and a bad experience today. Hopefully our reviews are helpful in steering you away from a bad time and...
