Yummy BBQ — Restaurant in Walnut

Second time here... But this is the first time I've ever, at any restaurant, been told by a waitress she wouldn't process our check unless we have a 15% tip, she wouldn't take a "custom amount" tip.

First time we went, they messed up our order, but I guess it was a mistake on both ends, anyways we ordered a "3 chicken" dish it was mostly pieces of chicken with bones inside. My dad tells the waiter, the other two dishes taste good, but this chicken is nothing but bones, I'm a old man I can't bite all them bones... The waiter was nice that time and gave us extra rice and a coupon of $10 off $50 for the next time, which we did not use the 2nd time because we only ordered two dishes and at this point I guess we never will, use the coupon😖

Another thing how can you say you have a lunch special when the deal is after lunch hours? 2.30-5pm is not...

You know how sometimes you have to give a restaurant a second chance to win you over? Well, that's exactly what happened with this place. My first visit was a bit lackluster, but boy am I glad I gave it another go!

Let me tell you, the flavors on my second visit were outstanding! The roast duck had crispy skin that was just divine, and the bbq pork had the perfect balance of meat and fat. It was pure heaven for my taste buds.

Sure, the seating area wasn't exactly the lap of luxury, but it was definitely acceptable. Plus, who needs fancy chairs when you're digging into a plate of food this delicious?

Overall, I'm really glad I gave this place another chance. It just goes to show that sometimes you need to look beyond the surface and give a restaurant a fair shot. And in this case, it definitely paid...

We're there to enjoy the lunch. However, no one can help you when you need something because they were either too busy or hide in the kitchen and the sourounding were to noisy. We ordered a dish of konboa chicken without chillies, but it came out with spices. After the meal, they told us consumed less than $30 dollars, there is a dollar fee if we use credit card. So we paid it without putting the tip. They yelled, demanded and forced us to pay the tip. We just walked away. Now I received my bank statement, they charged tip without my consent. What kind of business is it? It seemed to me, they think tips are must pay money even their services are so bad. Right now, they're losing me as a customer. I don't want to tip a restaurants with...
