Horrible Horrible service my wife had just got off work so I drove her to get Golden Chick cause she likes the chicken. So after waiting in drive through line for a very long time we finally get to the speaker to order so we say hello. No response so we wait a minute or two day hello nothing again. At this point I'd say like 4 or 5 minutes before some one gets on the speaker says can I help you. So my wife proceed to order but as she is trying to change the order as to what already comes standard with the meal the girl on speaker keeps talking over her. It got to the point were I got alittle angry so no look this and this is what we want then she went quite for a minute or two said okay anything else I said no thats it. So we drive up thinking maybe she has no help or something right. WRONG!! there were three employees at the window area one giving drinks one charging the other standing g there looking at us. So anyways I pay and wait again for about 7 minutes then they open window the hand me a drink I asked were is my sons drink the girl and guy look at each other with a blank look on their face. So then they proceed to give us the bag of food my wife at this point is just done like let's just leave so my wife says my chicken is crispy right not roasted girl say ya sure. So we drive off. So we get home and sure enough the dang order is wrong they gave my wife chicken tenders not the regular chicken like washed. On top of that the sides were wrong and my sons and wife's tenders didn't even seem fully cooked so need less to say it was a waste of money my wife and son did not eat the food. The tenders were cold, so I drove around and told the cashier Kevin about my tenders. The tenders were then unapologetically, reluctantly replaced. As I drove to the other side of Rowlett to Canes for a tea, I began to eat the chicken wings, but they were old, and after breaking them apart I decided I would just drive back to Golden Chick and have them replace it, because after all, I spent 13.07$ and they opted to give me old chicken. There I encounter Jonathan the manager who wished that I’d explain to him what happened. After handing him the box he says he’ll replace 1 wing, because “that’s all that I returned.” It wasn’t all that I returned. I had eaten a piece of a wing, and I had torn the rest apart, just seeing the brown on the inside. So if anything in the box there were 2.5 wings inside. I told him to give me the box back so I could show him. He looked in the box again and then offer a refund. No apologies, no sorry for wasting your time, or the acknowledging the inconvenience for having to travel back to the store. I asked could I see the box again so I can take a picture, he ignored me and threw it away. I then went back inside to get the picture and then he says he’d get it out the trash if I give him the refunded money back. He couldn’t tell me the info of the owner as he did let me know that this particular store is a franchise and not corporate. Ordered food. Got home. Order wrong. 1 order missing the tenders in box. 1 order made wrong (over seasoned, like ridiculously over seasoned).
No problem. Probably got wrong order.
I got back to fix. And essentially they challenged me that they didn’t make a mistake. “The tenders were in the box.” After debating with 3 people that I have no intention in wasting my time to trick them into getting free tenders and just want my order fixed. The cook decided to solve it by taking back my order (2 boxes) that was made 20 min prior back into the kitchen and opening the boxes, adding the missing food into the box with the existing food from first order to “fix” my order. A box that was already opened, served, and brought back. I’m pretty sure that the most basic health code violation to avoid.
The staff was so proud in their chicken preparation accuracy that they refused to believe that they made a mistake. So essentially accused me of what? Trying to get free chicken? Terrible business model. This place is more proud of its order making accuracy that they refused to acknowledge a mistake but show no pride to provide service to their customer or pride in keeping high health standards in...
