It's crazy with options, from pastor and beans to carnitas to beef milanesa, and everything in between. You kinda get frozen by all the options, but the friendly cashier kindly told me a couple of different tortas he prefers, ranging from spicy to meat specific to veggie.
I settled on pastor and beans with avocado, and it came with tomato, lettuce, and pickled onions, but they have pickled jalapenos that they offer. Served on a clean meat Styrofoam "plate", an aesthetic i enjoy, the torta comes toasted nicely and stuffed with fillings. I normally request tomatoes off everything, but i let it ride on this one as it just meshed so well with the torta as a whole. Very good, avocado plays a great role, while a thick amount of cheese aides in the process. Heavily spiced pastor pork with a neutral, melty cheese that is offset by a tomatila dressing with neutral bean and avocado.
I look forward to trying one of the many other options in my next visit. Oh and, k, lets be real, then dine in experience is what it is. Its tight and cramped and it is old, but what are we expecting? I gave it 5 stars knowing this because you can always take out and the...
Read moreLiterally eating and reviewing right now! Food- on point, Service- also on point. This place may be small but the flavor is big!!! My husband got the #49 Torta which has avocado, bacon, Oaxaca cheese and breaded steak (he ate half before I grabbed a pic). I got the Asada Quesadilla (which they did NOT skimp on the steak or the cheese) and they both are so flavorful and juicy. I didn’t try the green sauce but the red is fantastic! Average price looks like around $13 each but they have tacos for around $2.50 each. Also it’s very filling so you’re getting your moneys worth I think. The guy working the register was very polite and personable. Great customer service. You can see everything being made in the large, open kitchen in the back. We’ll...
Read moreThis place is located in the old Lee's Fish and Rice building in Roy. The number of total options is amazing! We tried the #60, #52, and #55. They were all amazing! # 60 is a bit on spicy side but has amazing flavor! But beware if you can not handle heat, it has habeneros, Fresno peppers, and pablono pepers with cheese and avacado. #52 has pork, bacon, avocado, and cheese. #55 is pastor with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. All of them had tons of flavor packed into each sandwich on fresh-made bread. They also had quesidilla, taco, and burrito options. The co-owner waited on us and was polite, helpful, and kind. They offer to-go and eat-in. The restaurant was very clean and orderly. We had a great experience and will be returning in the...
