I really want to like this place and honestly hope a manager is reading. The food has been really delicious when I've gone there. However I keep avoiding going back, as there is this one older guy who is usually working, who is really difficult to deal with. He's not unfriendly, but he makes "suggestions" in an extremely pushy way, and if you don't say NOOO loudly and quickly enough he will dump it on your dish before you said ok. Then will refuse to give you what you actually did want because of the limit on how many things. This has happened multiple times, always with this guy. He has a hard time understanding or hearing (not sure which) too normally, now we all have masks (though his masking isn't great either).
One time I wanted a small amount of 3 things, when the default is 2 things in smaller quantity. However I noticed it said right on the menu that you could pay extra for a third thing. Kind of a hefty charge for a small dollop of whatever, but it was what I wanted.
So I said, and I'll pay the extra for (3rd thing) and he flat out refused, I said it's right there on the menu, and back and forth we went. He dug in and was absolutely adamant no way no how could I have 3 things even if I paid more. I was about ready to just walk out when the manager came out and told him no no he was wrong, and I could have the third thing for extra. It says right on the menu. I've had similar problems with this man multiple times, where I ended up with hummus I didn't want, or a sauce I didn't want, because either he thinks he knows best, or is just impatient.
He's not unfriendly, but someone really needs to sit him down and explain to him not to do that. When I manage to get what I want, or close enough, it's really tasty, but the process is just too stressful especially trying to get in and out of the place quick. (They wear masks, but aren't always good about noses)
Also, watch out, their fountain pop is nearly $3 for a small cup, they have some special craft soda which usually is out of all but a couple flavors, and there is only one diet item.

Read moreMy family and I have visited 2941 Mediterranean Street Food multiple times and the most recent visits have been unpleasant due to the poor customer service. Our first visit was extremly confusing and overwhelming considering the multitude of options and lack of direction from the staff. Employees were NOT helpful nor did they educate us on how many choices we had per station. Moreover, questions were answered insufficiently. Luckily we were able to speak with a man in charge who was touring the seating area, questioning customers about their visit. ONLY because of the good tasting food did we continue to eat lunch there. The visits following the first were easier considering our familiarity with the arrangement. However, at our third visit, while we maneuvered through the line, it felt like the employees were lost and could barely explain the components of the different dressings. At one point an employee had no idea what the purple turnips were until we pointed to them over the glass- shows the lack of training and poor management. At the same visit, the cashier handed me back my change with an extra 50 cents. Also, the knife jar was empty and it took nearly 10 minutes for an employee to fill it after requesting more. The areas surrounding the toppings have been messy and are filled with excess material that failed to land in the compartments. The quality of the meat has been worse compared to our early visits. Overall, it seems that each time our stay becoming worse because of the substandard service. It is unfortunate that a downtown cuinsine like this one will be losing customers like me; due to persistant bad experiences. I really hope these circumstances can be addressed and improved. I drove 30 mins just to satisfy my taste buds .. walked in , I was the only person in line , lady behind counter in a purple head scarf told me someone would be with me ,. I stood patiently , then she decided to come over and say I can help you .. I haven’t been here In a year or so so I was trying to remember how the process goes and what exactly I wanted .. honest bowl tandoori chicken , as we approached the pickled items I asked the lady in the purple headed scarf what each item was and how many !! She rudely said “”””it’s up on the window!!! Which I don’t understand why she couldn’t just simply do her job and Kindly explain what they were !! So after I said , i can’t really see it because it was further down than I was standing .. she stopped making my food and asked a gentleman to finish me !! ) which I thought was very rude !! I said a few words to her in defense !! Telling her this is your job !! Why do you have an attitude because I’m asking questions ..
