Read moreThey built this location back in 2016, while another stood at Woodward slightly north of Thirteen Mile Rd. Then another, this one slightly south of Normandy Rd. Afterward, they closed the Woodward--Thirteen Mile location. This location, at Guilford, is rather cozy. There are two small tables and two large ones, these quite possibly meant for wheelchair--ridden persons, all in the northwest section. Then there are two sofas with small stands at the southwest section, really at the front, like the aforementioned tables. Along the south side is a long high-rise table with bar stools (in my previous reviews, I'd always referred to them as high-rise chairs; I believe "bar stool" is more appropriate). Adjacent to that, in the middle, is a long high-rise table with bar stools on both sides. I was going to gravitate toward the sofas until I looked over and saw those two small tables coupled together. One was empty; there was a tall black man using the one closer to the door, but he decided to take to the one near the window and let me have the other. And I did have fun; I ate my lunch and read a book. My lunch consisted of a Turkey BLT Sandwich and a small salad from Arby's; a Pumpkin Spice Loaf slice; and a Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte. I've always avoided sitting at those big tables, because, once again, I believe those are for the handicapped. Okay, let's just suppose I had to sit there due to almost a total lack of seating excepting this. However, if a handicapped person came in and needed a table, then I would HAVE to vacate where I was, correct? That's something people sitting at such tables seemingly don't understand. Okay, I don't truly want to wax sanctimonious. So I can only carry on in courtesy, on my own volition. I'll write this: It's beautiful inside. I'll keep coming to this location whenever it...
Read moreI drive an extra three miles out of my way to go to this Starbucks daily, Monday through Friday, occasionally twice a day. Many of the employees know me by name and I have always, always had incredible service here which is why I am a daily repeat customer.
Today, though, I came through the drive-through and the gentleman that took my order was clearly impatient and short with me. When I reached the window my drink had been made incorrectly so he took it and remade it. I watched as he made it and again, it was done incorrectly. He forgot to add the sweetener I requested. When he opened the window to hand my my drink I asked if he had added the equal, to which he replied, "what?!" in an incredibly annoyed tone, didn't answer, and slammed the window shut. I remained at the window while he proceeded to take two more orders. Eventually he grabbed to equal packets, opened the window, handed them to me and said, "I have a lot on my plate right now," and slammed the window shut again.
If there hadn't been such a long line behind me and inside I would have pursued a manager regarding his attitude and service but didn't want to penalize any other customers further than he clearly was going to do on his own today. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name but he's very young, wears dark rimmed glasses and has tattoos on his forearms.
While I am still dedicated to this location and most of the other employees here, if this type of encounter occurs again I will be using a different location, or possibly brand, entirely. As someone who spends a minimum of $22 a week, often over $30, at your store, and have for over a year, I would hope that for others like me this issue can be addressed and...
