There was a time that you would expect a fresh smoothie or a bowl when you went to a TFS restaurant, but in an effort to save time on bowls they’re apparently freezing them. I was surprised by how gas it came out, but not as surprised that when I dug into my Açaí bowl in the restaurant it was frozen solid. The fruit on top was fresh though. I told them about it and they took it back to try to defrost it. It came back to me frozen again. I didn’t feel like breaking my plastic spoon on it and asked for a smoothie instead. They asked for mor money and I got a bit upset. The detox island green I eventually received, which cost $2 less, was good. And, my wife’s sandwich was good, but there’s more smoothie places around. I’d go back to this one, but I’d request any bowl to not use pre-mixed and frozen smoothie as the base. Maybe understandable when they’re busy, but not so much when you’re the only ones in there in December...
Read moreSmoothies are good. No complaints about the food or smoothies. I like when certain employees make my smoothie because they know how to perfect it. You can see the change in how things are ran now. Gave it a 4 just for that, but overall great.
Update: Recently, I’ve been coming back to this location during the week due to it being close to my job. Masks aren’t being worn correctly in the facility. Masks should cover the mouth and nose and I noticed that when employees go to the back they’re pulling their masks down. I will not be returning due to the fact that they aren’t following CDC guidelines. I noticed that it seems like the employees are rushing to make smoothies and food orders. My smoothies have been coming out very icy, chunky, or watery. Very disappointed in how this establishment has changed within a year. Everyone please stay safe and avoid this location. I will be taking my money to the other locations...
Read moreI have been to a few tropical smoothie cafe locations in the area and this one is by far the worst. This location is closer to my job when traveling for my lunch break hence why I decided to give it a try and was extremely disappointed...I first gave this location the benefit of doubt after my first visit considering my detox island green was a basically a icee with chunks of spinach and fruit...I assumed because it was lunch time that my smoothie was just a bad batch. I came back for a second time and my detox was just as watery and was overpowered with ginger...I didn’t even bother coming back to complain due to me being on a lunch break..so I just threw my smoothie in the trash at work. A waste of money and time. I’m not sure how this place is called tropical smoothie when it’s not living up...
