I had not tried any dresses on, nor called any bridal salons to schedule an appointment when I tried to walk in and try on dresses, but Davita kindly explained that in order to best serve me, I ought to book an appointment. Covid and group size restrictions are difficult enough to work safely with, but more importantly, Davita did not want to sacrifice the service I would receive. I booked for 5 days out and came back with my mother and sister. I showed Davita a few pictures I had saved, she asked a few questions and then we walked thru the boutique and she pulled dresses. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE was GORGEOUS!!! And fit for the look I was wanting. Ultimately, I had my "bride moment" and connected with a dress. Just to be certain, she jacked me up, then proceeded to put me back into the other 2 that I loved and tried the last few we had pulled, also. After going thru that, she put me BACK into "my" dress and again, I was a big, sappy mess. I knew, she knew, my mom and sister knew! Davita was SO attentive and thorough. In a world where great customer service is hard to find, I was so touched by how invested she was in my experience and making sure I was 110% sure and satisfied with everything. My mom wanted me to have a "real" dress for our more intimate ceremony stateside (we will be having a ceremony in Europe with my fiancè's family), so she asked to see me in a sample gown, and we ended up getting that dress as well, at a major discount!!! Davita even threw in some foot jewelry, free of charge, for our local beach wedding. Afterwards she pulled all of the paperwork together, explained tailoring charges and time frames for the dress to come in, my confirmation email on the order with the designer, how far out I need to book my tailoring appointment, and how long any alterations will take her seamstress. The shop may be tiny, but her dress selection is so classy and romantic and figure flattering. In a room that small, there was literally something for any and everyone. THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY BRIDAL DREAMS COME TRUE, DAVITA!!!! I even received a follow up email to offer any appointments for my sister, mom and daughters for...
Read moreI read reviews before going in, and decided to ignore the poor ones since I know people can be dramatic. The truth is, the bad reviews are not dramatic at all and the experience was anything but delightful. I came in with my mom and maid of honor by appointment. We were running a few minutes behind and upon arrival, so was Davita. She asked us to wait while she finished up, which was fine. Then after she called us back she took a moment to change her shoes, again whatever (not knowing what were in store for) She barely asked any questions and began pulling dresses off the rack that SHE liked. The appointment felt rushed and she did not let any of us pick a dress we liked and continued putting me in styles of dresses I stated I did not like. She was very rude to my maid of honor about their no touching policy. I understand the policy but telling us upfront or in a nicer way would have been more courteous. She argued with me about a champagne color wedding gown matching with MY wedding colors after I said I did not like it or think it matched. When I said I didn't like a dress she would tell me it is a very nice dress and that is my opinion. Yes, it is and I AM THE BRIDE wearing the dress. My mom asked me if I wanted to come look at some dresses since she gave me no time to look and we did not like any of the dresses she rudely picked for me. I replied yes I would and Davita said "you have 5 minutes left" In reality the so called 1 hour appointment was about 45 minutes and clearly they didn't care if I purchased a dress from them or they would stay. Like the other bridal boutique that stayed an hour late waiting for me to come back and purchase a dress. I am SO happy this was not my first experience/place for trying on gowns because it would have completely turned me off to the whole experience. Very deflating and not happy people. I know they will come back with a rude response just as they blame everyone else for their experience....but that also shows the lack of professionalism they...
Read moreI cannot stress enough, DO NOT consider this shop when searching for your wedding dress. I came to the shop with my friend who was the bride to be. The owner, Devida, was extremely rude and unwelcoming, and the entire experience was dreadful. You cannot drink champagne, or any beverages in the store. You cannot touch any of the dresses. I understand some shops have high end designer dresses, so here's an idea, provide your customers with white gloves to view the dresses they are considering purchasing... Devida watched our group on the cameras and came running to the back when we picked out a dress for the bride and placed the sign that read "No Touching Dresses" directly in front of a bridesmaid. This was the first time our bride tried on any dresses. Devida complained and sounded exasperated when she said, "there would not be enough time for the bride to try on all of the dresses in the store." Meanwhile, we had only picked out 5... Our bride called a few days ahead and verified that certain dresses were in stock at this location. When we arrived the dresses were not in stock and only "similar dresses were available. Devida chastised our group and told us that we were prohibited from taking pictures of our bride to be in a dress that she liked. I found the no pictures policy absurd. Devida spent more time replacing the dresses then actually listening to our bride or helping our bride into and out of dresses. Devida refused to tell our bride the model name of the dress she liked. Devida curtly replied that she had written down the model number and name of the dress and refused to provide the information to our bride. With a little research, I found that the dresses at this location are anywhere from $200-$700 overpriced. I was extremely disappointed with our experience at this store, and after speaking to a few people, I discovered we were not the only people that had a similar experience; some brides even left crying after their experience with Devida. Do not waste your time or money...
