I ordered a ten piece spicy nugget meal. When I got to the window they told me they only had six spicy nuggets and said it would be four minutes until they would be ready. She said they could give me four regular ones if I didn’t want to wait. I said I would wait. I asked her to put bbq sauce and ketchup in the bag. She said okay/ She told me the parking spot to pull to and I did. I waited ten minutes (based on the swipe receipt from my bank that showed up) before she came. She apologized for the wait. I checked my bag for my order. There were two bbq sauces in the bag; no ketchup. The food felt hot but when I started eating I realized very soon that only four nuggets were hot. They gave me four hot nuggets but left the other six old nuggets at the bottom. The fries were also not hot and over salted. This means my order sat on a counter for 10 minutes waiting while the four nuggets cooked. However, having worked extensively in the food and service industries, I know that, for the amount of debris on the work stations and floor, there is going to be a lack of oversight on food quality. In this post-covid world it is surprising to still find folk who aren't aware of food handling and safety guidelines- there waa definitley an employee touching their face and not immediatelywashingtheir hands. I spoke extensively with Lisa, whom I believe to be the manager, and she was very responsive and apologetic. Again, having worked in multiple areas of food service from a pretzel cart to fine dining, I am fully aware of how intense things can get and sometimes things are overlooked. Because when one of the staff came in, she noticed that the stove was not turned on and, if I understood the scene in front of me, it still wasn't on when I arrived. I agreed to wait. After all, I did make a pretty big order so a little patience on my part was definitely in order.
