Usually pretty ok, this time was different. When we got in, the employees were dancing and there was loud music. That was great, but when we got up to the counter , the music stopped and one girl came up to the counter. She wiped her nose on the way up. She did wear gloved and use tongs, but still. She then proceeded to stare us down rather than speak to us. We ordered our food while she glared at us. She barely said a word to me but was very friendly to my husband [go figure]. While we were waiting for his quesadilla to be made, she was loudly saying "let's shut this st down, I'm f*ing ready to go home". We were treated like an inconvenience and honestly, it hasn't been the first time. As we were leaving, my husband and I said "have a good night" and she replied with "you too" but only looking at my husband and then glaring at me. Every time she is there we have this experience. I don't know her name but she's the only white girl I've seen working there. She's rude and honestly it has left such a bad impression that I no longer recommend their resturaunt to anyone. It's worth it to go...
Read moreWent to California St. restaurant. Worst dining experience in years. At first, no service--none. Then indifferent at best from the three waiters/waitresses that occasionally stopped by. Then rancid chips and some salsa--finally got extra right before we left. Beer seemed watery. I swear that glop on my girlfriend's plate was dog food. Finally figured that the fatty white thing under her refried beans was her missing tamale. My chimichanga was obviously micowaved, along with the pico de gallo, lettuce, and sour cream that accompanied it. It was still only luke-warm. They can't even microwave food and get it hot? Never--never--got the water which was the first thing I ordered. Bad service, bad food, bad experience. They claimed to be busy, but there were at least two tables who were seated after us, given silverware (a problem), served, given a check, paid, and left before we...
Read moreI ordered a kids bowl for my daughter, but when I got to the register the price I was charged was for an adult bowl. I told the lady I ordered a kids bowl and she said you have to tell them that before they fix the bowl. I responded I did. The cashier asked the server if I had and she said no. The music was loud and no one was paying attention to what I was saying. I don't like being overcharged and I definitely don't like being called a liar. I didn't order anything because I'd just finished eating from the place a hour earlier, but because my daughter wanted to eat there I went back. I went back for a kids bowl and was called a liar. I won't be spending my money there again. The concept is great, but your front end staff ruined my visit. I love Mexican food and I normally get my lunch from your store a few times out of the week. I will no longer be able to frequent your...
