Teriyaki — Restaurant in Ruston

Been going here a while. Lately the quality of food and service has slacked way off. Past 3 times the dude behind the counter is either trying to talk on the phone or talk to someone else while taking my order and it ends up being wrong in one way or another. Quite frustrating.

Secondly take a look at the griddle and the vent hood where they cook. It's got old grease dripping down into the cooked food and tons of old grease buildup on the back of the griddle. Won't be long before it catches on fire or health department shuts them down. If they keep the cooking surfaces that unclean, it makes me question how well the food is kept.

With all that being said I've had enough of the disappointment from eating here for a good while so I'll be spending money elsewhere. Shame because it used to be...

My fiancé and I came here for the first time. She ordered a teriyaki bowl with an egg roll and I got a combo (orange chicken and teriyaki chicken) and egg roll. The total came out to $35 for lunch , which I thought was a little high but worse yet was the portions vs price. There wasn’t much in the box and what was there was not very good. The orange chicken was obviously frozen chicken nuggets and wasn’t a traditional orange sauce. My fiancé had metal wiring in her box, from the grill brush I assume , when we told them they didn’t offer anything at all to rectify the situation, not a replacement, no refund , nothing. They just said okay and went about their business , 10/10...

Been looking for a place like this in Ruston, glad we have somewhere like this. I specifically asked if the shrimp tasted like it was frozen or had that weird gulf-y taste and the lady clarified it didn’t. Upon tasting I agreed and was so happy that it didn’t have that freezer burn taste. Even tho ik it’s not fresh it didn’t taste like it wasn’t and that’s the important part. The teriyaki and yum yum sauce are both awesome. Everything had a nice flavor. After a while the steak didn’t feel nice in my mouth and I didn’t want it anymore, I probably wouldn’t get the steak again. And the vegetables on the side weren’t the veggies I normally expect with this meal. But...
