Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Rutland City

.... yesterday being Sunday, a good friend messaged and said join us for lunch at Applebee’s and we all met and went… The host status down at a table and it was seven hours… Three of us sat on the bench, then three of us sat on stools opposite and one sat at the end of the table. We ordered appetizers first… They came rather quickly and that was good… Then as the main courses were coming out our waitress announces to us that we all can’t sit together it’s one too many after we all started eating!... I said you’re kidding me!! Apparently this is what she was told so I said… You know what I’m not really that hungry, bring mine to go and I’ll leave and she apologized. They should’ve told us right from the start I’ve gotten two tables side-by-side but they didn’t… I got home with my container of food and opened it… It was three cheese penne with grilled chicken on… First of all the chicken was practically raw… The noodles were cold and there was no cheese sauce, dry as a bone… I ended up spitting it out and throwing it in the garbage and then I went to McDonald’s and had a burger… I texted my friend because they were still there and told her and Applebees did nothing… Super disappointment here!!! ….. this is a second review… This is July 7 I believe… Anyways, just sat down at Applebee’s again… I had to send the salmon back twice… I don’t know what’s going on back there. I think Dr. Seuss is cooking dinner… It was just horrible… I couldn’t even eat it… I’m heading to Stewart’s to get a cheeseburger out of the hot bin… This is the Applebee’s in Rutland Vermont and...

I went to eat here today! The service from George today was absolutely phenomenal! I have 3 explanations to prove how phenomenal his service was!

Reason 1 being that when we were seated he greeted us with effortlessly funny sarcasm and read the entire table so well! We had felt so at home and like we had known this guy for ages! There was never a moment of judgment, & he made sure that we never went with out anything we needed & even made sure I had more bleu cheese to go with my left over’s!

Reason 2 is just that & nothing less than feeling appreciated & our presence was welcomed! We felt we mattered! Beyond just the service. He made us feel right at home! I had a brain fart where I accidentally called him a waitress & not a waiter. He had taught me the proper word to use with just the right amount of humor & sarcasm! My motto in life is, “Laughter is the best medicine! “ & I truly felt like he lived by the same! Nothing but smile’s & laughter!

Reason 3 Is the best reason yet! He was HIMSELF! No one enjoys a fake personality! Life is way too heavy lately and he made it alot less heavy for us today! He truly made my entire day so much better! If I come again I will request him as my WAITER! Because he is just that amazing! Stay awesome...

My wife receive the $50 gift certificate from her employer for Applebee's we haven't been to Applebee's in about 15 to 20 years we are very shocked at the food we received we did a takeout order we ordered two chicken tender platters it came with what I thought was chicken tenders from a grocery store they were that bad you can get better chicken tenders at any one of the fast food restaurants that sell hamburgers in town and we ordered an order of mozzarella sticks thank God for the mozzarella sticks the best part of the dinner the coleslaw was dry and disgusting and the fries we're cold and had so much salt and pepper on them I nearly had a heart attack and burn my tongue I don't use salt but the amount of salt they put on these fries unbearable so my wife and I are only going to get one star because we can't give zero we will never go back to Applebee's matter fact when we get home my wife got the gift card in half it had almost half of the money left on it will never go back I'd rather go to McDonald's and get an order of chicken tenders very...
