Jimboy's Tacos — Restaurant in Sacramento

I don’t think I’ll go back to this Jimboys ever. I had such a bad experience. My family that I rarely see was in town and they have never had Jimboys so I was really excited to take them. My dad is a grumpy meat and potatoes guy but I was just SURE he’d like the ground beef tacos.

We were hanging at Grant Park, and I said I would run and go get the food and come back to them.

20 minutes in the drive through.

Annoying but honestly normal.

I ordered: 6 tacos, 4 bean/cheese burritos, 3 rice sides and 3 bean sides.

That’s $62. Expensive if you ask me.

Then they put the TIP thing in my face, so I clicked to Tip too..

$68.00!!!! Fine. Whatever. I wanted to surprise and feed my family.

I got 2 little bags and specifically remember saying “is that everything?” She assured me it was.

I go back to the park. NO TACOS.

Literally everything except the 6 tacos.

I was so disappointed. So I go back. While my family nibbles on the stuff they do have.. and I miss out. I go try to get the tacos. I call. And call. And call. Hoping they’ll pick up and prepare the tacos so they are ready right away so I can leave. No answer. It’s lunch hour. I get it.

BUT THEN icing on the cake:

They have me grief. I go inside. Wait my turn. Show the receipt!!! -“well, usually people come inside with the food right away”

“I GUESS we’ll believe you THIS TIME.”

I was treated like I was scamming them.

Not at all like I just dropped $62 with a $6 tip to be treated this way, and miss lunch with my family.

They finally replaced the 6 tacos. By the time I got back to Grant Park, that food was cold, and the 6 tacos weren’t yummy enough to make me feel any better.

There’s a Jimboys at DOCo and at this point I’d rather drive there than go get this horrible service again. BYE. Jimboys on 29th...

I went to the restaurant on a thirty minute break. Unfortunately for me after ordering I found out from guests that this location serves drive through guests first, and the guests who walk into the restaurant when they have a minute. And I only found that out after ordering, witnessing one of the employees come out from behind the counter giving someone a dirty look up and down behind their back, step around them and hand someone sitting down a bag of food apologize for it taking so long, then disappear back behind the counter. Then other guests in the restaurant were talking to each other and one of ladies was literally apologizing to guests about the food taking like forty minutes on a regular basis because no body working at the restaurant was telling anyone how long the wait might possibly be. It was a horrible experience for the first time going there to see the discrimination against people on foot instead of having a car. And I was late getting back to work after getting my refund because I was not able to wait forty minutes to even get the food on a thirty minute lunch. So needless to say I went back to work hungry. Oh and my name was spelled wrong...

This place smells really funky. I went in there to use my rewards for free Taco, I was immediately told that they did not have a barcode scanner to verify my coupon at all in the building. If that's the case then you will not be able to use any of your rewards nor will you be able to type in any of your reward numbers. meaning at this location you walk in you pay you eat and you leave. There is no Rewards program at this location. There are also no free tacos at this location. In order for you to be a store. A corporate store that are all over the place our franchise store I think that everybody should agree to fall within the guidelines of what that store does. If I walk into a Walmart and found out that they didn't sell food I would be like wow. If I walk into a Walmart and figured out that they didn't sell clothes I'd be like wow. But they do sell those things. You expect to go into those places and get that stuff. Instead this place says nothing about not giving you any type of rewards and allows you to walk in just so that they can take your money. It's really messed up.
