I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taqueria La Estrella in Sacramento, CA, and despite its location in a neighborhood that some might consider sketchy, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional food and service this place has to offer.

Taqueria La Estrella specializes in cooking authentic Mexican cuisine, and they truly deliver on that promise. The veggie burrito I ordered was nothing short of amazing. Packed with flavorful vegetables and wrapped in a warm tortilla, it was a delightful combination of textures and tastes. The attention to detail and the use of quality ingredients were evident in every bite.

Another standout dish at Taqueria La Estrella is their pozole. It is flavorful and satisfying, a true testament to the authenticity of their Mexican cuisine. The rich and savory broth paired with tender meat and traditional garnishes made for a truly enjoyable dining experience.

The service at Taqueria La Estrella was both friendly and quick. The staff members were attentive and accommodating, ensuring that I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. Their warm and welcoming demeanor added to the overall positive experience.

Supporting minority-owned businesses like Taqueria La Estrella is important for fostering a diverse and thriving community. By dining at this local small business, you are contributing to the success and growth of the owners and staff members. It's heartwarming to see such establishments flourish, and I encourage others to come and show their support.

While the neighborhood where Taqueria La Estrella is located may be perceived as sketchy, I urge you not to let that deter you from experiencing the fantastic food and friendly service this establishment has to offer. The top-notch quality of the dishes, such as the veggie burrito and pozole, showcases the skill and dedication of the kitchen staff.

In conclusion, Taqueria La Estrella in Sacramento, CA, is a hidden gem that offers delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. Despite its location in a neighborhood that may raise concerns, the food, service, and overall dining experience are truly top-notch. Whether you're craving a mouthwatering veggie burrito or a satisfying bowl of pozole, this local small business delivers on flavor and quality. By supporting Taqueria La Estrella, you are not only enjoying exceptional food but also contributing to the success of a minority-owned...

I ordered a super beef burrito and it hardly had any beef on it. It was like a rice burrito with pico D and sour cream. The quality of the super burrito was poor especially for the price of 15.00. After arriving home, I contacted the restaurant and explained it to them and she wanted me to bring the burrito back. I will not be going back. To update on this review, I reached out the restaurant the next day to speak to the owner and was told that no one was available. Due to the person who answered the phone reluctance to help me speak to owner, I began to explain about the burrito having very little meat and them wanting me to return the food which is unprofessional and unsanitary even if they are going to trash it. The employee began to engage in a full blown argument with me and stated that he didn't care if I was a customer or not. Needless to say, at this point I needed to return their rice filled burrito with very little meat that I had bitten into. It's unfortunate that this is the type of poor service and quality of food in the deep south...

It's sad to say but this place is very prejudice .. I came in to get a breakfast plate for my kids on the way out of town & no one wanted to help us .. I clearly was a new customer who walked up to the counter to order .. In stead of greeting people like usual i was ignored for about 5 to 7 mins .. I even kept saying excuse me no response was given .. I am never coming back here .. I give them one star because kids liked the plate but that's it .. Instead of saying please give me a few minutes i need to restock or act like im reatocking because i don't want to help you because your black & this is a MEXICAN ONLY restaurant .. Im so very disappointed this is still going on in the world but hey look who i President is so it's not surprising .. I wouldn't suggest this place to any of my friends or family honestly .. You must be doing fine with the few customers your getting but your cutting out a good majority of the population .. You might as well place a sign on your window like the old days .. Just...

I’ve visited this location in Sacramento twice now and have had some version of a cóctel each time. Portions are HUGE, but the seafood vs veggie ratio is low. The flavor is good, the onions and black salsa are a nice touch, I just wanted a bit less diced cucumber/tomato and more octopus/seafood. Salsa bar at the back of the restaurant is a nice touch, there’s a good variety of salsas and condiments to choose from. Service is mediocre and place is clean. I would recommend checking it out, my friend gets the shrimp cóctel every time and has been super happy with it.

The place serves good Mexican food. The gentleman taking orders at the counter is always so pleasant and recommends dishes when asked. The staff forgot our tortillas and brought it when my Sister was close to finishing her dish and proceeded to take it away instead of leaving it with her. She was quite annoyed by it. There can be a bit of a wait for your food when the place is busy. The place could use an update and get cleaned up a bit. The floors were quite dirty.
