Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in Sacramento

Dominic is one of the rudest employees I have ever met. I ordered a pizza and a garlic bread today. The pizza had come out and I was still waiting for the garlic bread. I ate the pizza and at this point it had been 30 minutes and there was still no garlic bread. I went up to the register and asked about the status of the order. He went and asked the cook who forgot to make it. He said it would take 5 minutes and I told him if it took longer I would need a refund because I needed to get back to work. After waiting more than 5 minutes the pizza was still not out and I asked for a refund. He told me it was still in the oven, but I told him I needed to go and could not wait anymore. He got his manager to help me, and while the manager was speaking to me he went into the kitchen and was talking to his coworker very loudly. He said I was being ridiculous and should have just waited and had more patience among many other things. Other customers could hear him and were also shocked at his behavior. This is the second poor experience I’ve had this semester. The first time, I ordered a small pepperoni. I waited an hour for it and watched 3 people who I ordered before get their food before me. I went to the counter and asked how long it would be. They then brought me a personal size. When I took it back they said they would remake it. I had to wait another 30 minutes to get my new pizza. (The employees were kind and offered a refund so it wasn’t all that terrible). However, with only 4 people in the entire restaurant at the time, there should be no reason for making someone wait like that.

Today, I ordered a small pepperoni. I waited 45 minutes (I was on my lunch break from work so I had to get going). When I went to ask how much longer, they asked for my number and when they asked the kitchen, they started scurrying around to look for my pizza or my order. Then, one of the cashiers took a pizza out of their warmer that the keep pizzas and handed it to me. It seems as though there is extremely poor management at this store and it is up to the customers to guide and...

I was surprised I had a similar experience as others who have made reviews… it was my first time coming to this Round Table on campus and I too had a bad experience. I waited 40 minutes for a personal pizza when it was slow (summer time is always slow on campus). So, I asked how long it might be until my pizza was ready since I had work. I was then told the manager threw my pizza away! The staff didn’t understand why, especially since I was sitting at a table with my order number clearly visible. Turns out he was calling the wrong number. Training should be better… you don’t just throw food away without making sure all customers are served. Especially when there are only five other customers there. I could not wait for them to remake my food, so I got a refund which was okay but I had to rush to get other food before going to work.

Seeing that it’s not just a one-time issue and others have had similar experiences I just can’t rely on getting food there in between classes or work. I’ll opt for something faster and more reliable on...
