E Street Gallery — Attraction in Sacramento

This eclectic gallery has a lot of interesting things to look at, including some artists Studios. A very talented local artist Helen Henert supervised a silent auction for Joshua House with theme of "Shelter". These funds were raised to pay for a respite house for terminally ill homeless. This old building hides some fabulous artists. Many of the studio residents are art professors. My two favourite ceramic artist are housed there. It’s sad to see galleries that allow for the abuse of art. It is a gallery’s role to uphold the meaning of art and elevate art in a deserving manner. This place has an entirely different agenda that simply does not coincide with what art is meant to be. It saddens me that such places...
