We were 2 separate parties (party of 4 & Party of 3 us) we told our coworkers/friends where we were going to eat and they decided to come but they would not seat us separately. I know now why???? I asked for 2 tables cause we were 2 separate parties arriving separately and I wanted our own table. I know why the host told me “WE DONT HAVE 2 tables open” Cause they wanted to tack on the 18% gratuity which is bullshit! For 7 big Polynesians and 1 lousy grill to cook our barbecue meats made me angry but I did not want to make a huge fuss. Then the kicker is we EACH end up paying $51.88 PER PERSON. it’s a RIP OFF cause it took forever to cook our meats for party of 7🤬. Guys here’s the KICKER, for us to get the VALUE of our monies worth I made it a point that when server brought our 6 pieces of MEAT for 7 of us (guys the GALBI/KALBI short ribs only came AS 1 PIECE equates to 1 order😱🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬) I asked our server to please bring another order of our 6 meats. When she came to bring our 2nd order of 6 meats I then asked for our 3rd order our server says “Oh sorry you cannot order another 6 meats yet you have to wait😱😱😱🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬” after that i stopped eating🤬🤬🤬”
Then the RICE was OMGGGGGGGG thee worst rice ever which was so soggy wet rice and we complained about the rice and the waitress says “oh sorry that’s all we have🤬” not even taking our concerns to be addressed with MANAGER!
We asked for water for everybody and we did not get our water until towards the end of our meal.
This place sucks and I’m so angry that I chose this place cause we had such a wonderful experience at QPOT in San Jose and we thought it would be the same.
Guys, the HOT POT selection is crappy! They had only 2 types of shrimp for their seafood. And on the conveyor belt was supposed to have more items for hotpot etc and it was a major failure!
When we were leaving I said nicely to the HOSTS (young man) that the RICE was horrible and it was so watery and mushy and they really need to address that cause without RICE it defeats the whole purpose of us patronizing an AYCE KOREAN Barbecue. I told him PLEASE address this with your OWNERS/MANAGERS!!!!!
The OWNERS/MANAGEMENT need to better train their SERVERS & HOSTS! And I would not recommend you wasting your money on SEAPOT! You’re better off staying away from these BIG CORPORATE AYCE KOREAN BARBECUE restaurants and give your business to a small mom and pop AYCE for KOREAN barbecue! STAY FAR AWAY FROM SEAPOT HOT POT & AYCE KOREAN BARBECUE🤬
1 more VIP INFO: DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES in your cars! This area is located in the GHETTO and when we came out of SEAPOT our friends SUV rear window was smashed and they stole our friends backpack W/his wallet that had credit cards and ID’s. There was no cash in his wallet but when we flagged down the RENT A COP SECURITY GUARD he says very nonchalantly “Oh yah a car gets broken into windows smashed EVERY SINGLE DAY😳😱🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬”. DO NOT LEAVE IPADS/LAPTOPS or anything of value in your...

4/5 on wait time. Got there 2pm on a Saturday, waited about 30 minutes. Pretty good wait time for AYCE imo. You can add yourself on the waitlist via YELP.
3/5 in terms of meat servings. The meat servings are so SMALL and we were waiting a while between each order. We’d order with our waiter and the meat would come 10 minutes later. I understand if it was cooked item but it’s literally just sliced raw meat 🤨? I wouldn’t mind the small serving if the wait wasn’t so long (and vice versa)
3/5 on the sauce bar. You can get your side dishes and sauces on your own (pretty typical) They had a lot of sauce options for your meat dipping sauce—- OOP! but no bowls available, only plates. Sorry 😛! Anyways, had to improvise how we were going to get sauce at our table.
3/5 on the hot pot waiting time. We ordered and again waited like 10 minutes after just to get our hot pot soup. Big whoop except that you’re only allowed 1.5hrs at this place! So the majority of your time is literally just waiting for your stuff to get to your table 🤨
5/5 on our server and his 4pm replacement. They don’t actually have bussers here ?? They had waiters cleaning up tables and wiping tables for incoming groups, it was just odd. They’ll clean tables with sanitizer towels and then take your order the next second. I know they’re new so they probably just need to hire more ppl bc damn 💀💀💀 At OZ Kbbq they have a person for everything. But here? They got avatars, masters of all 5 jobs.
5/5 on the conveyor belt with hot pot add-ons. Those were good. Sometimes corn is hit or miss but their corn was good. Even had snails which were Oop, okay. Jump-scare.
4/5 on the environment. It’s a nice place, I just wish they wouldn’t let ppl on the waitlist so close to ppl sitting down and eating. Like if you have any table near the bars, you have to eat like you aren’t being watched by like 10 other hungry hungry hippos
Overall this was a nice place and the food was good (Wagyu finger ribs were a bit salty so to whoever is in the back seasoning those, chill out)…. The wait time and serving is what really kills the vibe. Our grill would turn black waiting for the next order but they’re new so it’ll probably get better if they hire more ppl and take that salt shaker out of that man’s hands.
Will probably come back again...
Read morefirst impression was super well. the interior is straight eye candy, it’s really pretty and i love the conveyer belt system. we had no wait, came exactly at 5pm. we were greeted in less than 20 seconds. we did both k bbq and hotpot. im not sure if rice was included or u had to pay for it because we had to ask for rice. for the bbq, it was so, flavorless. most of the meat were super dry with no seasoning. the shrimp were hella salty. the chicken breasts were flavored and the calamari was good tho. for the hotpot, the flavor broth you choose really does make or break your experience. i wish it had descriptions of the flavor or that i had asked what the flavors were instead of guessing from the name like i did. we got thai pot (spicy) and healthy herb. thai pot was nasty. i was expecting something deep flavored like pho broth and actually spicy but instead i got SOUR TOMATOE soup. everything i put into the soup tasted like it, it was so overpowering. the other, healthy herb was a bit better. it had a cinnamon taste and kinda watered down creamy but, it had a fly in it after a while. i’m not sure if it came from the air or on the vegetable that i had put into that hotpot. waiter was notified and all that happened was it being switched out for another bowl. food was nasty, i made sure to force eat everything so we wouldn’t get charged and i wouldn’t ever go again. we were gonna take my mil on mother’s day but she said it wasn’t good so we went to oz instead but i still really wanted to go here because the concept seem so cool. she was right tho on it not being good. best part i liked was the complimentary to go ice cream cups. service was mediocre. i have nothing against them. i’m not sure about others but i liked that we were given our cups and a jar of water we can pour and repour ourselves. grill was changed when asked. we were asked if we knew how to turn things on. obv no. grill was turned on so you would assume hotpot is too. minutes past and my hotpot wasn’t heating up. asked if it was even on, it wasn’t. was taught how to after asking. we waived them down as well as they came up to check up on us. total was $81.87 for the 2 of us not including tip. i’m not sure what was charged. it had nothing listed, just the total...
