*note it does say the store is renovating and orders are to go* We came in , store looked messy, it was ok since they did say they were renovating. There was no one to greet us and no one we saw in store. We were going to leave and went out side but another customer that was leaving let us know that we had to walk to the back to ring a bell to order food Togo. We ordered our food and then We waited 30 minutes for our food. When we got home we unpacked our food to eat it. The Kasoy was ok, very strong tomato base. The fried rice on the other has was flat out BURNT. the Chinese sausage in the fried rice was burnt and it just smelled and tasted burnt. We didn't even eat it just threw it away. Thai tea was very bitter, it was ok. Overall not happy with our burnt fried rice and waiting 30 minutes for our food.

We've come here several times over the years since the restaurant first opened. Today, we were very unsatisfied. The portion size seemed to have been halved from previous visits. I ordered the stir fry basil entree with a side of rice, on a Sunday so it wasn't a lunch special. In the photo, you can see I pushed all the stir fry over to one side of the plate and added some rice. It covered just barely over half the plate. I paid $8.50 for the entree and another $1.50 do or a side of rice. The bowl of rice I received was larger than the amount of food in the entree. My husband ordered the drunken noodles. His dish was fortunately a decent amount. It lacked flavor and was a little dry overall but he was full from it. Overall disappointed.

This place was not as i expected. Went here with a few friends. We ordered beef laap, chicken laap, drunken noodles, dry noodles and papaya. The laap are too sour, and porton was inadequate in size. The noodles however is a different story. Maybe it's just me but the food was not as expected. The rice was grainy, not soft as expected, we didn't complain because, we figure the whole batch was like that. Total spent was just about $50.

The food was alright. We ordered the fried calamari, beef skewers, sour chicken soup, and my wife wanted to try the raw beef dish. The calamari appetizer was great actually.

My low rating is for the service. The waitress mistook our order with another table twice. I waited patiently for my entree while she brought out my order to a different table (they arrived later than us). I later asked if my #10 was coming and she recommended we get it for take-out. This seemed rude to me as I was still hungry for the meal that I came here for. I didn't complain and just said "no thanks." Later, both the waiter and waitress asked us if we wanted a to-go box for my wife's last dish (at separate times). After she said yes, they both proceeded to attend to other duties (cleaning tables and checking with the back-kitchen). Eventually I saw the waitress make an "oh, I forgot!" kind of face and finally...

I only moved here (straight from Cambodia) in the bay area two years ago. Being born and raised in Cambodia for the past 30 years, my standard for good authentic Cambodian food is really high. I've tried almost every Cambodian restaurants I can find around the bay area. No restaurant brought me closer to the taste of real Cambodian food than Taste Of Angkor. The one first bite, OMG...., was all I needed to fall in love in this place:D.... I've never written any reviews before. But my experience of Khmer deliciousness in this restaurant brought me close to tear. I live in Santa Clara, but I don't mind driving all the way to Sacramento just for a good bites of Mi Katang. It tastes just like how my mom back in Cambodia cooked for me. Machou Krueng is another thing to die for..... :D -------If only there were more than 5 stars I can...
