Five star rating to Spukys owner, staff, and all around exceptional lady, Ning. For over five months when I stop at Spukys on Friday mornings to pick up some sandwiches I have always left satisfied with the service and the quality of the sandwiches. In a time were quality food continues to increase in price, Spukys has continued to provide a quality sandwich at a reasonable price. I look forward to more sandwiches from Spukys and great service from Ning and an owner and staff who are doing the best to keep me satisfied.

My brother picked us up some sandwiches on Friday morning, approximately three weeks ago. My compliments to the very nice lady who put the sandwiches together, especially being under the adversity of customers who were intolerant of a person learning a new trade.

Excellent sandwiches and to the lady who couldn't put down her cell phone to order her sandwiches and the young fellow who should have clarified he wanted the sandwich warmed up; It would be nice if people remembered how it is when starting a new job or learning something new.

It is sad that today common decency and manners have gone by the wayside and instead of paying attention when ordering it is easier for these and others to criticize a very nice lady working to do her best and please...

New owners. I get a 30 min lunch so I called ahead to place an order. They told me 15 minutes. When I had went to get my order they told me they had no orders for pick up. I told them I had called and spoke with someone who said 15 minutes. They both stared at me like I was crazy. I looked at the number I dialed and asked if it was theirs and the kid read off a different number and told me that’s NOT their # I dialed. I didn’t have time to order lunch there now so I left and called the number I dialed and someone answered which I couldn’t understand where he had said I called. I had to ask two times for him to repeat the name. He said spuckys. I told him I just was in there and you told me I had the wrong number and didn’t call there. he then said “they had orders before mine that walked in.” Which is why he lied and said no one ever called a order in? Usually this wouldn’t upset me, if they got busy and couldn’t make my order in time. But to act like I never called and spoke with him and then said it wasn’t their number I dialed is ridiculous. Our first time but definitely not our last!! New favorite for sure! Bread was so fresh and tasty, meat and other fixings piled high, very delicious! They were kind enough to also provide us with some free samples of their Asian appetizers, 2 beef filled and 2 crab cheese-type, cooked fresh, with sauce for dipping! A hidden gem! Please check them out for yourself, I guarantee you will not be disappointed! They are located inside of the store for the Admiral Gas Station @ 5605 State Street, across from the Covenant Med-Express. They have a very extensive sub menu, as well as Asian dishes. The people are so friendly and very appreciative of the business! Wish we had taken pictures before we devoured everything! We might never cross the threshold of another sandwich shop again after...
