Did the online ordering for curbside pick-up. Husband arrived at the appointed time & called, as instructed. Was told they’d bring it right out. Sat for 15 minutes, watching customers go in, order, & bring their pizzas out. Called again. Was told they were just wrapping it up & would bring it right out. Waited another 10 minutes as other customers went in & out. Finally, a kid came out with 2 pizzas, handed one to a guy who was standing outside & then walked around with the other pizza, asking people their names, even though husband had given them the description of the car & was parked right in front of the entrance. Husband called kid over & got our pizza. He told the kid this wasn’t acceptable service. Kid just said that they’re busy. Husband mostly upset that they twice said that it would be right out, when they hadn’t even made it yet. What is the point of ordering online to have it ready for pick-up at an appointed time if they just push your order to the end of the line & service other customers as they walk in? We’re trying to support a local food establishment during these difficult times, but definitely will NOT be ordering from here in the future!
UPDATE: I would like to update my review to acknowledge the quick response I received from Papa Murphy’s, and to thank them for going above and beyond to rectify the situation. I will still avoid ordering online, but their sincere apology and efforts have won...
Read moreDoes Papa Murphy know what the summer temps are in AZ? Apparently not! By the time I’ve taken my pizza home in my 100 degree car, the pizza wrapped in plastic has stuck onto that plastic and become a calzone! I paid $11.00 for a pizza that wasn’t baked, wasn’t boxed and melted all over some plastic before I could even bake it. Why on earth would I buy a Papa Murphy pizza when I could go down the street and buy a Dominoes Pizza already baked, boxed and not melted onto plastic? When I complained to the store manager, his great suggestion was to bring it back! He’ll make me another unboxed plastic-wrapped pizza to go through it all over again. (And, the outside temp is now 104!) A simple 12 cent cardboard box would solve these problems, but “corporate” made a decision to not provide boxes. They must be the only take-out pizza joint in the U.S. who doesn’t provide a simple box for the trip home. Does cooperate feel they are saving millions of dollars by not providing boxes, when they don’t have any overhead with heat, electricity, and maintenance for an oven? The consumer is not getting any deals when they can get a Dominoes baked and boxed pizza for the same price (or even less ) than an unboxed, unbaked pizza. Best legal...
Read moreMy husband and I moved to Green Valley, AZ from Milwaukee, WI 2 yrs. ago and were unfamiliar with any good pizza places to visit. I asked around and Papa Murphy;s was the one most people recommended. Well, let me tell you ... the people who work there were very upbeat and eager to take my order. When I got home and put the pizza in the oven, I knew the suggestions to go there were right on point! Yum; it was absolutely marvelous and I've been back numerousl times since. We enjoy the thin crust, margarita-type-vegetable with white cheese and sauce. My mouth's watering just thinking about it so it must be time to visit Papa again real soon. (I'd be more specific, but I can't recall the exact name of the pizza I always order. Oh well, I'll remember when I go to get another one and one of the nice young men who work there will be happy to help jar my...
