Updating as we've been many times since and it's been great. The minestrone is better some days over others. Some days it's much sweeter. I prefer the less sweet one, not sure if sugar is added or tomato stocks differ from time to time. Pizzas and grinders always delight us. We've been going to Pie in the Sky for 24 years. Most if the time it's a hit. Yesterday was a big miss. Very busy and the manager didn't seem to be there when we were there, so one of the very experienced waiters seemed to be acting manager while also serving. She seemed to struggle with the stress. She was snippy with kids at the table next to us. Snippy with our college-aged daughter when she tried to help with a table that was toppling next to us. The Outer Sprout subs were completely missing the ricotta blend but after that wait, we didn't want to wait to have them redo them. Sub split was charged, but the sub was in one basket so we shared from the one plate. Asked if we wanted refills only after we'd finished eating. We get it was packed, so a lot of this was because it was busy. I've been there enough iver the 24 years to know that even when it's packed, no one has ever been snippy. It's a one off, I'm sure, but it also will...
Read moreSo within the last 5 months or so pie in the sky has went so down hill and it’s so sad mine and my daughters absolute favorite place to eat up until recently, seems like the new staff had zero customer service skills, my main problem is how openly the staff will trash talk customers with no regards who hears it. tonight’s visit we watched more then half of the extremely young staff bash any customer that came in or any customer that questioned there order. Maybe it’s just me but I feel if those people are spending there money in your establishment they have every right to ask questions about the food they are buying or ask to add or remove certain things they don’t want WITHOUT the staff waiting for them to walk out the door just to blatantly talk smack about them with a dinning room full of other guest who can clearly hear the full conversation. We miss the old staff and the old managers who actually cared about their guests and not just making their money. A good start would be to have a customer service training and maybe hire like one or two adults to supervise the “children”. All in all you know what they say about...
Read moreWaited, and waited. . . And waited, for our order. The water came--- we siped and we dripped, and we sipped-- and did an entire Qigong meditation (without putting my arms out like a sombie, of course, cause that'ed be weird) still no order. Then, after attaining "enlightenment". . . Our two ten inch pizzas came! The waitress apologized... We think she might have been the manager as well as she was good. Empathetic. Gets it. Kind. Gave us a 20 percent discount. We empathizeed in return as well. They were short of help. Like america. Short on brains. America. Short on ambition. The new america. Short on any purpose whatsoever. God help us all... Goodby democracy--and quick pizzas. This spoiled ROTTEN country needs to wake up. "Woken"... or whatever verbal gymnastic is in vogue the pizza was good. Damn, I wish the state of the...
