This place is 100% about coffee. They have a small selection of expertly curated pastries both sweet and savory, but the main attraction is the selection of beverages.

Beans are expertly roasted by the owners, you won't find the dark, over-roasted burnt and bitter coffees here, their roasting techniques are perfectly tuned to bring out the complex flavors of the top quality beans they start with!

The selection of coffee drinks is significant, from a simple espresso, all the way up to the delicious and expertly crafted coffee cocktails like an espresso tonic. Their cold brew, and nitro-cold brew is the BEST in St. Charles for sure.

The ambiance is perfect for a small, local coffee shop, the furniture is funky and interesting, but comfortable. The playlist is always on-point and at the right volume for conversation.

I've driven past Coarse Roasters in Frenchtown more times than I can count, always intending to stop but never making the time... until today. Glad I finally did. The vibe inside is casual but clearly cared-for, with the kind of low-key, local energy you want from a place like this.

I asked the barista for a recommendation, letting them know I'm typically a black coffee drinker who's open to new things... but not interested in anything too sweet. Without hesitation, they pointed me toward the Spicy Honey Latte.

It was one of the most unique and genuinely delicious coffee drinks I've had anywhere. The balance is spot-on: rich with just the right amount of honey, and a kick of heat that never overwhelms. No sugar-bomb here... just a perfectly executed drink that actually highlights the coffee rather than hiding it.

Course has a vibe unmatched by any other cafe / coffee roaster we've visited recently. It's clear that the owner Brandon has put every ounce of passion and craftsmanship he has into his coffee and his team. The staff here can clearly call this place home. We've been to 24 different cafes across 12 major cities in 2023 alone -- Course easily lands in the top 5. All this time, Course has been in our very own backyard, located in historic St. Charles Missouri. The coffee was excellent, the decor was interesting and relaxing.
