THIS LOCATION SHOULD BE CLOSED BY THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT!!!
(Aprroximately 4:30pm Thursday, 7/10/19. NO OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE RESTAURANT. NONE!!!).
If I could give ZERO stars for this location, I would!!!
I am a native St. Louisan and have eaten Imo's many times. Today, (having a short time to grab dinner), my husband and I went to the Imo's on 1st Capital in St. Charles (by Lindenwood University).
The restaurant is DISGUSTING!!! It is FILTHY!!! The tables were half-heartedly wiped and left with crumbs and crud on them. The napkin holder on our table was seriously SO GROSS, that I was afraid to touch it to retrieve napkins! I glanced around to see other napkin holders and they looked equally filthy! There was trash (straw wrappers and what not), soda spills, miscellaneous crumbs and who knows what else, on the floor. The soda fountain was nasty and sticky with the remains of old soda. The trash can was also DISGUSTING with long streaks of filth running down it. When we went to throw our cups away, the STENCH from the trash can being opened made me start to gag. All that, after less than decent customer service (employees on cell phones and standing around). And the food was definitely NOT up to Imo's standards!!! We ordered a large salad that is supposed to come with eggs in it. When we discovered no eggs, I went to ask about it, only to be told they were out of eggs (REALLY? AND SCHNUCKS IS ABOUT 1 MINUTE AWAY)!!! The pizza we ordered had a crust that was REALLY hard and the cheese looked and tasted STRANGE (my husband said, "I hope I don't get sick"). Again, NOT Imo's!
What a waste of time and money!!! We WON'T be back to this...
Read moreI haven't visited my local Imos Pizzaria for almost a year because of a bad experience. I was both pleasantly surprised and markedly disappointed by my visit to the First Capital location in St. Charles. The pizza itself was great. It wasn't over cooked, the veggies seemed fresh, and the crust was as I imagined it should be. The Customer Service however was Horrible. The young lady behind the counter was much more interested in getting a date with some guy in the back. When I was concerned about their new policy of charging 2.5% of the total for using a credit card, I was told I didn't have to be there. She's right, and I probably won't return- at least to that location! My total was $65 for two pizzas and a salad. The manager (really long hair with no hair net) must have been happy because he immediately came from the back, was given the cash by the girl, and stuck it in his wallet-- not before waiving the cash at me as I was getting in my car. I assume these Imos are individually owned, so they don't really care about this review. I'm doing it so other folks know what they're in for with Imos employees in...
Read moreIf you are going to charge a fee for using a credit card don’t complain when you are paid in cash. Perhaps post which legal US currency you don’t accept. Went in to pick up a pizza and garlic bread. They would not take a $100 and all I had were a bunch of $2’s (I carry them for tips). I counted out 13 $2 bills (consecutively numbered) and the cashier took them to the back for verification. He came back and stated they would take them today but never again. If you are going to passively aggressively accuse someone of counterfeiting expect pushback. I recommended that take my number (which they already have from the order) and to call the Secret Service. The cashier stated it wasn’t necessary and I pressed him to confirm they will take payment in all $1 bills (they would). My suggestion stands to call the Secret Service to confirm the authenticity of the bills and I’m happy to talk with them and show the other bricks of consecutively numbered matching bills I still possess. There are plenty of pizza places in the area and I’m not going to solicit this location again. I suggest you consider an...
