Food quality and price were great. The service from our waitress left a little to be desired, but I'm guessing this was not the norm as she was young and made some pretty rookie mistakes. Just FYI for anyone looking to advance their career in the restaurant industry: 1) if they have an empty water, coffee, soft drink or iced tea and it's not the end of the meal, they want a refill, you don't need to ask. I once had a waiter who would not let my glass get down to half empty. Granted, it was a finer dining experience than my usual rotation, and the kind of place that most people only go to for occasions, but I was happy to tip that dude somewhere north of a third and south of fifty percent. I know not everyone shares this same mentality, but consider it like you've got an ever widening hole in your pocket for every minute that your table has an empty glass. 2) Don't disappear for 20 minutes because your table just got their food. Those first few minutes after the plates touch down are the most important time especially if things ain't exactly as expected. And 3) if you're bringing change for cash (admittedly, I know that paying with cash puts me in the minority here), don't force me to choose between giving you a twenty or a buck and a few coins, especially if a reasonable percentage is nowhere near a twenty spot And understand that those people willing to tip you cash may just be trying to help you avoid paying taxes; help...
Read moreI didn’t want to be forced to leave this review; but, after my experience yesterday afternoon, I have been left with no choice but to call my bank to reverse the 42$ charge on my debit card. When I called to voice my complaint and ask for my money back; I was told to hold please and the phone was sat down on the counter and left off the hook! I ordered the steak quesadilla relena the ribeye steak in a soft shell it has always come in the little round aluminum container with tender steak, refried beans and white cheese and sour cream, guacamole lettuce and tomatoes. For the past years since 2016 getting the same thing with the dogtastic groomer friends eating in and getting the sweet dessert for Shells bday fried cheesecake chocolate goodness. I never thought it would come to me and my 87 yr old diabetic fathers meals would consist of not palatable skirt or flank steak n cheese taco with a clump of hard sour cream in a to go box. I explained to the man who I guess is the one that left me hanging on the counter waiting n listening to him seat people. My tip was 10 cash so a total of 47$ and only ate a 1/4 inch bite of tough tendon like flank steak so, 2 ala cart quesadillas without beans and garnishes. two sides of 60 cents worth of rice and a small cup 2/3 full of queso cheese dip 2/3 cup of salsa and one sm bag of chips. I was ripped off and then left on hold! Not even dog approved. That’s how awful this meat was at 2pm...
Read moreDecided to go back to tequila Mexican restaurant after the quarantine. Ordered a shrimp chimichanga wanted to show appreciation so I gave them a three dollar tip on a to go order. When I got home I did not have the chimichanga I asked for so when I called them they wanted me to bring it back so that they can make it right. I got back in the car took the chimney back up there they said they were remaking it I didn’t have to pay which technically I already paid for something I just didn’t get what I paid for. Told him I wanted to Jimmy with the rice and beans guacamole sour cream and the pick de Gallo. Mind you this is the second time I went up there they had it already gave it to me walked out came home to eat it and guess what tiny little bit of sour cream and a eighth of a teaspoon of guacamole.
I’m sorry if this is how you’re going to treat me after quarantine, I don’t have to patronize your business. I’m trying to be nice and give you a tip for being out of work for three months and this is how you repay me? You can’t even read your own menu.
I am extremely disappointed!
Word to anybody taking it “to go” order from this establishment, make sure you check your order before you walk out the door because you probably won’t get what you...
