The Corner Bar — Restaurant in Saint Charles

In town for the weekend. Always go to the Corner Bar! Luv it! Brought guests. Was so embarrassed! Waitress was only concerned with locals! Acted stoned!!! After she spent forever talking to friends on the floor - finally waved her down, was told you need to come to the bar - I am the only one working!!! Not sure where the Manager was but He might should drop in on Saturday night and stop the bleeding!! She couldn’t remember what we ordered to even serve us & we had to tell her what to charge us for - Sadness!!! 👎🏼 Hate to see such a landmark bite the dust!! We had already eaten when we got there. One of our friends showed up later and ordered a burger and fries. She split it with another friend who is a burger fanatic. They both enjoyed it as well as the fries. Drinks were fabulous. Our bartenders/waitresses were attentive and friendly. We were curious about the history of the Corner Bar and both of them were very knowledgeable about the history. They even had a binder that explains the history as well. This place USE to be great. But the service on Friday nights is Horrible. The 2 waitress (julie) that work that night are to busy drinking and smoking weed out back to take care of their customers properly. Had to wait 40 min for a drink . They do not want to take care of the very few tables they have in there. I was a good tip paying customer but after the last 3 times I've been there and seeing that service I will not be back.
