Over 2 decades ago my wife and I started going to Tony's on main. It was always a favorite of ours. Since then, the place has gotten bigger but the the food and atmosphere has remained unchanged - and that's a positive thing. Sadly, the service has taken a nose dive. Don't get me wrong - the wait staff has been friendly and attentive, they just don't understand that they are doing more than serving food - they are representing the great idea that is Tony's - Fine dining in a casual atmosphere. "Fine dining" is more than just quality food - its the experience you get when you dine out a restaurant that costs you $50 a person. you don't get that at Tony's. You don't get it ANYMORE, I should say. It didn't used to be this way. The last 3 times we visited (all in 2025, BTW) we felt like we were being rushed out the door. Last night is probably the last time we'll visit what used to be a favorite of ours. Anyway, it was supposed to be a special occasion so we headed to Tony's for a steak dinner. Our appetizer and our salads were served simultaneously. And I don't mean our salads came out before we finished our potato skins - they came out at the EXACT SAME TIME - and, apparently, this is the norm at Tony's now. 2 trips in the last 3 months and the same scenario played out. Then, as we were 1/2 way through both our appetizer and our salads, steaks showed up. We were in and out in less than 25 minutes. Had hoped to savor the experience and actually enjoy a dinner out, but we could have had darn near the same experience had we ordered our Tony's through DoorDash! Sadly...
Read moreWent their with my son last night. He had pizza and toasted raviolis. He said they were good enough, not as good as other places we frequent. I had the ribeye, Cajun shrimp, and Caesar salad. The salad was a typical Caesar, good but not exceptional. The Cajun shrimp were delicious but lukewarm at best. The steak however was disappointing l, if it was seasoned at all I would be shocked. The compound butter was definitely not one I cared for and even though it was already softened it failed to melt on top of my steak even after spreading it out across the steak. I can be perfectly happy eating a room temperature steak but it is not my preference. The combination of an unseasoned steak, bad compound butter, and it being cold were too much for me. I only took a couple bites. The service wasn’t the best, not one drink refill, no salt or pepper at table, and not once did the server come by after food was delivered. With an uneaten steak and a baked potatoe that wasn’t even touched due to no salt or pepper and empty drinks for most of the time there I will not be back. To add insult to injury, the manager only fixated on the steak being cold and not that it was flavorless. Nothing was done to remedy the probelem, nothing taken off the bill, and no discount. Won’t be back, and will never recommend this...
Read moreTony’s is by far my fave place to eat and/or have drinks with friends. Atmosphere is perfect! A bit historic but has cozy flair! Ask for Bailey! Bailey took care of us and was incredible all around! From the moment she stopped at our table until the end saying goodbye! She was thorough about offering sides and add-ons for steak, baked potato, apps, etc! She refilled our drinks often and checked back frequently. Made sure our meals were as expected and pulled plates when needed. Bailey was more than pleasant and definitely made our experience fabulous! All other Tony’s crew also rocked! Excellent service and our food was delish! Everything cooked to perfection. Wish we had taken pics of our scrumptious meals… but we were enjoying everything too much. Raspberry lemon drop martini is my favorite, and my Mom enjoyed the expresso martini. We also scarfed down a piece of birthday cheesecake, which was yummy. Thanks so much for always being a fave spot of ours. Bailey made us want to come back that much more! She’s a gem and hope everyone knows it! Thanks so much for having us for dinner! I come every year on my birthday to celebrate! I’ll be back next year too! ♥️. Looking...
