My husband & I just left yummy house & we had a terrible experience. I ordered the pineapple fried rice & they brought it out with shrimp in it. I am allergic to shellfish. The menu did not list shrimp in the ingredients so i asked for it to be remade. The lady(short hair with glasses) took the plate off the table and said sheâd make a new one. I asked if they were going to throw it away if my husband could just have the one with shrimp in it. She said she couldnât do that. My fear was that they would take the existing plate back & pick out the shrimp & give us the same food. Well i hate the thought of wasting food so i said forget it just leave that one here & my husband can eat it. After thinking about it for a few minutes I asked my hubs if he would just go ahead and ask them to remake it(he had a couple bites of it & said it was really good) so she sees that he had taken a bite or two already and said that we would have to pay for another one if we wanted them to fix THEIR MISTAKE. So at that point I was super frustrated and said that we already paid for the food. It was their mistake and they need to make it right. She yelled at me and then took the plate back to the kitchen where she was screaming to the cooks about what had just happened. The sad thing is that the food was actually pretty good but I will not be returning. The customer service was TERRIBLE!!!!!! She was so rude!! The other customers that were in there even backed me up & advised me to...
Read moreThis was my first and last time ordering from this restaurant. While the customer service was great, I was very disappointed in the food. The food was quite bland and flavorless. Portion sizes were on the smaller side, enough, but skimpy. Prices were on the higher side. Nearly $5 for a small soup. Flavorless soup, at that. Soup was supposed to be hot & sour and needless to say it was just more of an egg drop flavor. The Beef and Broccoli was very bland and on the drier side. The broccoli did not taste fresh, instead like it came from a bag of frozen, steamable broccoli you cook in the microwave. The chicken on a stick was over cooked and, again, bland. The crab Rangoon were on the flatter side but the taste was good. Egg Rolls, typical. The wait was about 40 minutes for one entree, chicken on a stick, egg rolls and soup .All in all, the money was wasted. I like to support small businesses but now I am beginning to see why "chain" restaurants seem to be the better choice. If I could have taken my food back and got a refund,...
Read moreWe were loyal to a Chinese place for many years, but it changed owners and the quality dropped. We had tried a couple other well reviewed places but were not happy. Tonight we tried Yummy House and it is our new go to. I love the mixed Asian cuisine.
Ordering online for pick-up was easy! Service when we picked up was friendly. The food was excellent.
Ordered pork gyoza (pot stickers), pork egg rolls, low mein, Szechuan chicken, red curry bowl, Hibatchi fried rice with chicken.
All of the quality and and flavors were great, egg rolls and pot stickers were the best weâve had in St Louis, food used high quality ingredients and was super fresh.
The curry came with white or brown rice, we ordered brown but it seemed like white rice than was seasoned to be brown. It didnât matter at all once you mixed it with the curry.
Lastly, the quantity was great. We had enough for four dinners and four lunches tomorrow. The pictures are of the leftovers after dinner and I didnât take a photo of the...
