KFC — Restaurant in Saint Clair Shores

After reading and looking over other reviews, I can confirm that what everyone else has said is true. Ordered out tonight and just had the worst experience from any KFC. First of all, their online website is awful. It won't ever load correctly and when it does you better double and triple check what you clicked on to order as it seems to change from what you want. When called to explain, were only told that they have no ability to change or do anything with it because it's all from a third party source. There was no offer to help or fix or adjust or any sort of consolidation made to make our experience better. We ordered from their website too, not a third party dasher service.

Second of all, when we had arrived at this location it should have been a tip off that the place was deserted while other fast food places were busy. Get to the speaker, the food was said to be ready at 9:10pm we had just pulled up at 9:16pm, and we're told, very curtly and rude by what I assume was the manager, that our order was not ready and to pull ahead. Then once at the window we were told to still pull forward even when there still was nary a car in sight but us. Waited until 9:25pm to finally get our food handed to us by one of the other workers before heading back home.

Finally, once we were home that's when we realized how messed up our order had become. Two bowls of macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy had instead become potatoes with gravy but also some slaw and fries. Not only that but the chicken was awful. We just got the original recipe, as I am not one for the crispy, and it's badly darkened. One would even consider it burnt. It was also very, very dry. Not even appetizing at all.

Final message is that this place is blacklisted from our places of going out to eat. Maybe even from all KFC locations as this was just a horrid experience. So take a note from the other reviews. They know what they are talking about. Badly cooked food and utterly just as terrible service...

Since the KFC by me is just awful I figured maybe a different location might be better, I was wrong I ended up walking out with no food it was just an absolute terrible experience, after I got home I tried looking up other locations honestly I cannot find a KFC that actually has good ratings at all I'm honestly shocked that KFC is still around.

I came to the drive-thru this was the middle of the afternoon by the way, and no one answered the speaker box so I figured maybe their headsets were dead and they didn't realize it, so no big deal I decided to go inside. I walk into the restaurant, there's nobody in line so I walk up to the counter there's a few people standing around and every single one of them is on their cell phone. So I stand there for a minute or two and then ask if there was someone working in the front counter, and I did ask politely and the person told me someone would be up to take my order shortly that they were working the drive-thru and I explained that I was at the drive-thru and no one answered to which she tried telling me that no I never went through the drive-through cuz she would have heard it, well no because I was at the drive-thru, so I stood there a few more minutes with everyone still on their cell phones and no one came to take my order so I left and went to Chicken Shack instead, I have encountered nothing but negativity from KFC so I'm all done...

Absolutely atrocious food and service. NOTHING like the old KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN that Col. Sanders originally founded. I'm sure if the Col. were still alive, he would be LIVID to see what's become of this place and how far this once-mighty chain has fallen from grace. Chicken pieces so small you practically need a magnifying glass to spot them. Greasy, salty, overcooked or undercooked, even the fries were awful. I mean, how can you screw up a batch of french fries? SERIOUSLY? Ended up throwing half the meal in the garbage.

I thought this place would be a marginal improvement over the other two (now closed) locations, but I was horribly mistaken. The Drive-Thru is horrendously slow as well. Spent 15 minutes waiting only to get home and realize my order was all screwed up. Fries spilled all over the bag, more mayo than chicken on my sandwich, etc, etc. After multiple attempts to give them a try, I'm done. Finished. All I'm left with are the memories of what Kentucky Fried Chicken used to be and what it has now become: a blatant insult to the memory of Col. Sanders. So long, KFC. Thanks for the memories. Time...
