McDonald's — Restaurant in Saint Clair Shores

Update 2/7/2024: Added a photo of my large fries order (no fries fell in the bag). Also, Diet Coke order was regular Coke.

I placed an order in the app online at 10:30 AM and clicked finish and pay. I arrived at McDonald's at 10:35 AM, entered curbside spot 4 in the app and got a message that my offer had expired. I went into the store and stood at the front of the line for about 5 minutes until someone came to take my order. I explained what had happened to the cashier, showed her my order in the app, and she said she didn't know what to do. She asked the manager what to do. The manager said that I would have to cancel the order in the app and reorder at the counter and they would honor the BOGO offer. She left and no one took my order at the counter for another 20 minutes. My counter order was finally placed at 10:59 am. At 11:00 am the Manager announced to the crew, "no more breakfast orders." I finally got my order around 11:05 am. My order was discounted by 3.49. It was the only counter order taken during the 25 minutes that I was in the store. People came in behind me to place counter orders and left without their orders being taken. Someone came in with balloons to wish the manager a happy birthday and the manager said "this is the worst day of my life." I understand that anyone can have a bad day. It is truly a shame that the manager had a bad birthday. Based on this experience, however, it is clear that in-store customers are the restaurant's...

Every Sun. on the way to Church, I leave my house a half hr early just I can pick up my 2 Sausage Egg McMuffins for myself & a friend of mine...& for the past 3 Sun.'s the drive thru has gotten worse & worse...this past Sun.(1/21/24) I waited in line for 45 mins., by the time I finally got to the window to pick up my McMuffins, they gave me the wrong order. Soooo...I was already 15 mins late for Church, & I didn't wanna take someone else's order, so I told the clerk I would wait as long as they got me outta there in 5 mins.! Wellll...she chuckled a little & said Sure....after we get everyone that is parked over by the brick wall gets their orders! 🤦‍♀️ I about passes out when I seen 8-10 cars waiting & I had already been there for an hr. Sooo...my advise to anyone wanting a quick brkfst B4 Church or goin anywhere else, go to Burger King!🤣 Normally the wait on Sun. are no more than 10 mins. but the last few Sun.'s, it was as if it was everyone's one 1st. Day on earth...the employees were like all over the place!! The 13 mile & Harper McDonalds is usually pretty good with their Service, Wait Time, & Food during the wk, so I definitely don't have any complaints there, but their Sun.'s are horrible & I just don't know why!!🤷‍♀️ All I know is that they need to iron that situation out & get it flowing in a timely manner or they're gonna start losing their Sun. customers...& there's a boat load of us that come there!! The Mgr. either needs more training or they need...

Don't normally complain as I have worked in restaurants before, but the service I received the other night was terrible. I had a young girl who was snotty with me from the get go. The fries were thrown in and all over the bag, she didn't acknowledge us when she handed it over after I was polite and thanked her. They were not very busy as it was around 7:30 at night but she had time to take drinks off pop and check her phone. Then when I asked for things that were missing from the bag she told me everything was there and I didn't look. When I told her I did, still politely, she acted like I was bothering her from something important. I finally asked why she was giving me a hard time and why would I lie when it was on the receipt. At one point she started to go help another customer over me, who was polite enough to tell her to finish helping me. Even then it was with attitude and sassiness where I asked her why she was giving me a hard time! Of course, no answer. Once I had everything I still saw her interacting with the other customer and rolling her eyes and laughing about it. With all that being said, it took way too long to get cold food that was thrown in hastily because apparently she wasn't having anything to do with someone who paid too much money for not great food. I'll be taking my son to any location but this one. I'm mostly sorry I didn't take pictures, get her name or speak to the manager...
