Houston TX Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Saint George

There is an abundant amount of fried chicken spots in St George and I wanted to try this place because I’ve been to almost all the others and I was NOT disappointed!

The atmosphere to begin with was great, I think the place inside looks great and the benches inside with the artwork make the place look very nice. The bathrooms were clean and the place was overall spotless

The employees were very nice, one of them offered to clean our table before we sat down. Another one offered us a drink because we thought one of the meals came with a drink! Excellent workers here that were all very nice. The young lady taking our order explained the hotness scale of the chicken and was very nice!

I got a Chicken Salad and a variation of loaded fries, each coming with 10 pieces of big chicken nuggets. The chicken was very moist, crunchy outside and very flavorful. The buffalo was amazing and the salad was fresh. Genuinely might have been some of the best fries I’ve ever had, very crispy, proper amount of seasoned salt, and overall was very good.

I can’t recommend this place enough, I would say what makes it different from the other chicken spots is the chicken is juicier and overall atmosphere. This will be my new go-to chicken spot, prices aren’t bad for the...

Before I begin this review, I would like to address a few of the reviews that have already been written. There are for some odd reason, a couple of negative reviews that are one and two stars, but their reviews don't even make any sense. The negative reviews written on the day of opening were about slow wait times and poor food quality. There were hundreds of people, all in line for food, and they had the audacity to judge the quality of their entire experience on the busiest day they will ever have.

Anyways, here's my honest review of Houston Hot Chicken. The line was still out the door, and it genuinely moved along pretty quickly. I placed my order and waited less than 5 minutes for it. The service was top tier, too! Extremely nice and fast workers. By the time I got back to work to eat it, my food was still steaming hot and none of it was soggy. The fries were truly the highlight of the show, they were a little sweet with light kick and a bunch of great flavor. The chicken was also excellent! It was extremely moist and full of flavor. I will definitely be coming back here!

I was excited to go as I am a big fan of hot chicken however this place set me up for disappointment. They have great advertising online. Walking in the restaurant looked clean and inviting. I ordered the waffle chicken sandwich off the secret menu. Which was $15 for just the sandwich. I also ordered a side of fries and a strawberry hibiscus lemonade to go. I received the lemonade right away and I thought it was delicious. I waited about 5 minutes for the food. I tried the fries first and the seasoning on it contained quite a bit of sugar which I thought was weird. The sauce that comes with it also tasted pretty sweet and overall just bad. Then I moved on to the sandwich and the waffle tasted very cheap and has way too much sugar on it. It completely ruined the sandwich. I got medium heat for the chicken. It was a good spice level but the breading was also too sweet. The pickles were also sweet so the whole thing honestly was a crime. The chicken lacked the juiciness of a good chicken breast. Not mention the whole meal was nearly $30....
