The description of the property and amenities are not correct. They have WiFi, but it doesn't work. I couldn't connect to the internet and work. They didn't care that it didn't work. Their breakfast is good, however, the eggs are not scrambled but are made up of some chunks. Sausage was scary. Bacon is not served Friday or Saturday FYI. Overall the breakfast was about 3/5.
This is the worst aspect of Clarion. I usually don't travel with my wife as she is disabled. She decided to go on this trip. Unfortunately, the person at the front desk thought it would be funny to accommodate my wife's disability on the second floor, as far as she could get us away from the elevator. I kid you not. It's pretty pathetic as me and my children walked towards the elevator and seeing room after room (Friday morning) empty. This was on the 2nd floor as well as the main floor which is closer to the parking lot and not upstairs and not 400 ft away from the elevator. So I can only surmise that the lady at the front desk was pissed at me. BTW my wife has to use an EzGo because she has Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia and so we had to get breakfast for her and bring it back to the room since her Ezgo was in the car.
So in summary, either Clarion makes it a habit to treat disabled people badly or it was just the lady representing Clarion that thought she could do this to us without anyone finding out. This was just so bad. The room was ok even though it smelled funny.
Oh yeah, they wanted to give me a smoking room even though I reserved a NON smoking room for my allergies and asthma. The bathroom was weird maybe from the 70's. You had to go in and shut the door to get to the toilet. The only redeeming quality of the place was the pool which was working. Oh yeah. They will charge you extra for "room service" which includes more toilet paper.
This is what happened to me. I'm sure that there are people that came to Clarion and didn't get treated poorly. However, if they think they can treat me and my disabled wife like what they did with no recourse, they why wouldn't they do that to...
Read moreWe stayed here the the first week in October of 2020. Our time in St George was amazing but this hotel left a lot to be desired. I am going to go over the good, bad, and ugly parts of our stay. The Ugly: The second night we stayed there the AC unit started smoking and filled our room with smoke. This happened early in the morning. I called the front office and was told to turn the unit of and they would send the maintenance facility worker in as soon as he got to work. We had the spend the next hour and a half with the door open to let the smoke out so we could breath. Needless to say that was a horrible morning. Nothing better then waking up at 5 in the morning to have to leave your door open so you can breath. The Bad: As soon as we walked into our room I walked into the bathroom and noticed mold spanning across the top of the entire shower. It was pretty disgusting. (I have pictures if I can figure out how to upload them) Any flat surface above shoulder height was covered in dust. Whoever cleans the rooms must not be able to see anything above my shoulder height because those surfaces were bad. (I have pictures if I can figure out how to upload them) The food was not good. I understand that things have changed a lot due to the Covid 19 restrictions but this was just bad. The eggs were rubbery, the sausage was cold, the French toast was undercooked and cold. The second day I just got a yogurt because of how bad it was the first day. The Good: The staff there were very friendly. I was greeted and felt very welcome as soon as we got to the hotel. The swimming area was clean and well organized. We spent a lot of time at the pool with the kids and it was a good experience. The hot tub also appeared to be clean. Despite the fact that the food was terrible they still had food even with all the Covid 19...
Read moreWe stayed in a quiet little suite in this motel, and I have to say that while it was fairly quiet, comfortable and clean, there was one little issue that really isn't correctable. Whoever designed the room, the door to get into the bathroom is so inconvenient that it's unreal. You have to walk in and swing the door past your body. If you are a little overweight, it's interesting, let me tell you.||The other thing is that there are no signs indicating where the laundry is located, and to be truthful, the laundry room was dirty. Although the machines were old, they were inexpensive and did a good job cleaning. ||The internet went down unexpectedly during the day, and I let it go to run errands. But when I went back, the internet was still down. When I called the front desk, the lady told me that since there was bad weather, that might have something to do with it. Now, I come from MN, and I had to laugh because it was just raining out and we get really bad weather with tornadoes and never have issues with our internet. But after sitting on hold with the tech guy for a while, we still didn't get it to work. She finally got the reset done on the main office and that cured the problem. To their credit, the manager got back to me and indicated they would be more proactive to that in the future.||It's not a bad place to stay. I think they try hard. It's convenient and clean. Don't be afraid...
